I can find like 0 posts on the internet (seriously... how does that happen?) comparing the B-HYVE XR with the ORBIT B-HYVE 57950.... other than the XR can do 16 zones and the 57950 does 12 zones. I've got 10 zones so it doesn't matter to me.
Form factor (look and external lcd) and maybe the extra 900 MHz antenna in the XR?
IDK. But considering the 12 zone 57950 is only $79 and the 16 zone XR was $143, I'd like to know exactly what's different and if double the price is worth the potential 'future proofing'.
Very frustrating.
Hell, there's not even a forum on the Orbit site FOR the XR yet.
I'm getting all ragey and I only started looking at systems yesterday when I got the Home Depot daily discount email.
Solution? In true slickdeals spirit, I bought both and will return the one I don't like.
