Perhaps this deal is not as slick. 5.0 cu. Ft. was $125 a few months ago. I'd wait if you don't need it right away. We want a chest freezer for the basement but not urgently so wait I shall.

5.0 footer is small and light enough to throw on top of a sedan, assuming you have some straps, or know how to tie a trucker's hitch

Another SlickDeal has a Thompson 7 cu ft unit at Sams Club at the same price point. Any opinions on which is better?

I have the 10.2 cu ft model and it's been great. Stored in the garage in Raleigh, so temps ranging from 20-110 F.

This is not the lowest price - but a lot of places are not even offering sales on appliances.

I jumped on this. I have to pick it up, but at least we are saving $60

Thanks OP

I too also jumped on the deal - the 5 cu ft, I needed a new freezer asap for my dog's raw meat diet (bulk ordered too much meat to save money... irony that now I am buying a freezer LOL....).

Not the lowest price but a good deal during this market (its hard to find anything under $180 before tax now).

For those wondering, you SHOULD NOT tilt this, especially don't lay it on its side. You don't want to disrupt the compressors' oils.

I have a sedan and had to rent a U-Haul for $30 after tax and gas. Super easy and all done within 2 hours.

The Insignia™ - 13.8 Cu. Ft. Upright Convertible Freezer/Refrigerator - White is $479.99 and I think it is all time low. Save $120. Free delivery.

Lol. We feed our dog raw (bone in chicken + some organ meat). We found ourselves in the shopping for freezers once COVID lockdowns hit last spring since we had just switched her to raw and were not sure how steady the supply would be. Never found the right deal last year.

Lucky for us, Aldi has stayed in stock of Chicken thighs or legs at a great price here, so we are back to just buying it every couple of days and not having to stockpile.

Good luck with your dog's new diet. It's been great for our blue pittie, and you'll really enjoy not having to deal with 4x as much poop Smilie .

All that said, we are still debating getting a chest freezer since I like to buy and vacuum seal things when they are on sale. Our normal fridge's freezer stays full.
