I recently purchased the Klipsch Reference 5.0.2 set to replace my previous Polk Series II set and absolutely love the speakers. The set comes with two of these R-41M rears. Would I be able to also use another set of the R-41's from this deal as ceiling atmos speakers, in addition to my upwards firing atmos speakers built into the fronts (assuming I get a compatible receiver)? I have drop ceiling in my home theater room and was thinking that I could mount these above me and cut through the drop ceiling, using the keyhole in speakers to mount them. Otherwise I was considering getting these as rear surrounds in addition to the surrounds I already have.

Is this a bad idea that would just be overkill and not practical?

How well do they work as desktop computer/workstation speakers? Are they too big? Do they still sound great at relatively low loudness?

I've been using a pair of NHT bookshelf speakers for around 10 years, which are hooked up to a Logitech Z5600 THX system - instead of the Logitech satellite speakers. The sub is plenty loud too! I'm not running surround sound, just left and right + sub with an optical out from my workstation.
I think they work really well. They put out good sound to my ears when I'm playing FH4 or any other game on my PC. I have them on Kanto SP9 speaker stands -- not screwed in, just sitting -- and the tops of the speaker sit maybe 1.5" below the top of my Dell 27" monitor (on the factory base).

One could spring for the powered model, but these are cheaper, and they don't become e-waste if the internal transformer dies.

Same price at Costco if you're a member, better return policy if you don't like it.
What is the Costco return policy on these? I already ordered them but not sure if it will fit in right in my setup.

Electronic is 90 days, regular item is 30 days if I remember correctly.

Got mine. They sound quite good. Clean sounding and decent bass. Slight elevation in treble giving a more present sound. Paired with a warm amp like cambridge audio it sounds good. Even so may cause slight fatigue in longer listens but still great for $70 ($50 considering grandma discount)
Can hear cabinet resonance but i guess it is to be expected at $70

Quick question - I screwed up and put it in my cart and checked out a day later and low and behold the $70 price reduction has expired. Anyone think it will return? I know I can always return them but my total was over $500 and I got the $50 off - if I return them will they adjust the price because of the $50 or will I get the full price back?

The $90 price is all but guaranteed to be back every 90 days. This was the first time I've seen them go to $70.
