Be careful when signing up for Paramount+ "FREE" trial.
Even though it's supposed to be CBS All Access' successor. The site still has bugs & glitches that need to be worked out.

I was not able to cancel my free trial until a day after it ended by then my CC had been charged for an additional month. It took numerous days to get in touch with customer service (The website form did not work) and when I finally got a response. They informed me that I was SOL.
I had to file a complaint with the BBB to get a refund.

I recall having an awful experience with CBS All Access a few years ago and it seems like their customer unfriendliness has now carried over to Paramount +. Thanks for the heads up. I will pass on the "free" trial.

This service is so scammy. The ad-free plan does actually have a 25 second ad at the beginning of each episode that you watch. Not really a huge deal, but it is an advertisement which I pay extra not to have. When making mention to paramount about this they said "that's not an advertisement it's a promotion about other content available on the platform".

These people are just money hungry scam artists and if they would refund me for my unused portion of my annual subscription (that I signed up for under the prior promotion and had to dispute the charge on my credit card because of their false advertising) I would cancel today and sign up with anyone else on earth.

Buyer beware!

Their customer service is awful. It has taken over 2 weeks to get a response via Facebook message both times I have needed them.

I always use a prepaid cc with low balance ($2.30) that I don't intend in reloading for deals like this, I usually I cancel but when I do forget I get low balance card declined, so I don't have to worry about it.

This is what we do. We have Amazon Prime for shipping and Prime Video usually has deals on Starz or Showtime. Watch a season of Outsider or Homeland, then cancel. HBO Max for a new movie and maybe a series you've had interest in. When we committed to only keeping a service or channel for 1 month at a time, we watched what we wanted and that was it. If there's a particular show that's a favorite (Parks & Rec for me), buy the series when it's on sale (Parks & Rec was $30). Oh, and use your local library too.
This person gets it. One of my pet peeves is people complaining about all the streaming services and how it's just like having cable all over again, completely ignoring that cable was all contracts where you were locked in for years at a time and where the price was different for everybody and could suddenly increase when your "promo" was up, not to mention all the hidden fees and rentals. You don't have to subscribe to every streaming service all the time, but you can easily watch everything you want on them for a very stable, reasonable price if you put the tiniest bit of effort into it. Why is that so hard to understand?

Paramount+ is worth it for free, but that's about it. I mean, they don't even have a watchlist. On top of that stupidity, I can only assume that due to outstanding contracts with other better streaming services, old episodes of their own shows are not available.

I couldn't agree more. This platform is absolute garbage. Use the free trial, watch a few things you wanted to knock out and then dump it.

A little but not much off topic. Did a one month Discovery Plus SD promo last month and will say with some searching there is a host of stuff on it including Perfect Planet. Watch for another such promo before it all gets sucked into the ATT money machine with the new merger.
I think ATT is DIVESTING their streaming business to combine with Discovery, so I don't know if anything really will get sucked into the ATT money machine money pit. The spinoff will create its own black hole. Who in their right mind would subscribe to it?
