Be careful when buying blades for it, "universal blades" do not with fit this tool at least without an adapter.
Alternative question: should I buy this if I don't need it now but just want to start collecting tools or should I wait? Thanks.
Oh I should clarify my usage. I'm really interested in DIY, and I've been watching a ton of videos lately. I've done some work on my current house to get it ready to sell, but I will soon move into a house that is only two years old and totally finished, so I'm worried there won't be a lot of opportunities for DIY stuff. Even if there are, I want this as a hobby, not a job, so it's mostly going to be an hour here, an hour there. Kind of light usage.
Because I'm not so sure my new house will have so many DIY opportunities, Im a little hesitant to commit a lot of money to a bunch of expensive cordless tools and the just let the batteries age and the tools obsolescence while I don't end up doing a ton with the tools. Part of the reason I was interested in the Ryobi set was that it would probably let me do anything I wanted to do for the next five years, while at the same time not being a bigger commitment.
But maybe corded tools would also not be a huge financial commitment but would still be powerful enough to do a great job if I ended up spending a lot of time on this stuff
