But, but it's good for the earth. We all need to embrace austerity to reduce CO2
It makes sense to load this up with sugars and possibly very unhealthy oil then.

Dead people have a much smaller carbon footprint.

As someone who has tried almost every dairy free ice cream out there- their stuff is really good. Not chalky at all- very smooth and creamy actually- especially compared to many of the competitors, and I am someone who eats foods almost solely for the texture!

This brand is one of the best dairy frees I have tried. All you guys claiming this isn't ice cream sound ridiculous to me!

I couldn't find it at Kroger, even though the store locator said it was sold there. Maybe only select stores. Where are you all finding these?

On second thought, I just realized I can check the Kroger website.

Looks like the one near my house doesn't have it, but other one does.

Multiple comments about sugar. There's no more sugar in this than any other ice cream.

Chalky. Yes, you have to let it sit out quite a bit compared to normal ice cream, but it's not that chalky if you do.

I don't know why everyone is so hostile about ice cream. Eat what you want, and maybe stfu while you are at it.

Rebel used to be sold for $7.00 a pint on release.

It sold very well.

Price is typically lower now. It's become very popular. But the initial cost was absolutely not a deterrent.
What is a rebel? Ive never heard of it in my life.

According to GMO Free USA:

//To be clear, this fake ice cream is NOT PLANT-BASED. It's SYNTHETIC. And it's patented. If something is unique and different enough to patent, you can't get away with saying it's the same as something that exists in nature. It was created with an extreme form of genetic engineering called "synthetic biology." Our government has declined to regulate it. So there are no safety studies required, no animal feeding trials, nothing at all to make sure it's actually safe and there are no short or long-term health risks.// source [instagram.com]

Hmm. It only shows available at Sprouts, and only at a couple of the Sprouts and not all of them.

Even the keto friendly ice creams are cheaper than this (and taste better to boot). 6 bucks is ridiculous.

Plants don't have a brain or neurons. So they do not feel pain.

They don't need a brain. Scientists were able to prove plants like broccoli CAN and DO feel pain! Plants can actually tell the difference between blowing wind, debris and predator insects crawling on them and protectively tightening their cellular structure on the surface only where predator insects are crawling in hopes that the predators can't bite through a thicker and tougher layer of skin!

Just because a "venus flytrap" doesn't have a face, doesn't mean it can't feel pain or a potential meal landing on it's surface!

Just bought it this morning.

It says "Contains Milk Protein"

How can it be vegan if it contains milk protein? Or does milk protein come from a non-animal?

very confused...

Wait, since when are plants sentient?
