As someone who has tried almost every dairy free ice cream out there- their stuff is really good. Not chalky at all- very smooth and creamy actually- especially compared to many of the competitors, and I am someone who eats foods almost solely for the texture!
This brand is one of the best dairy frees I have tried. All you guys claiming this isn't ice cream sound ridiculous to me!
Rebel used to be sold for $7.00 a pint on release.
It sold very well.
Price is typically lower now. It's become very popular. But the initial cost was absolutely not a deterrent.
What is a rebel? Ive never heard of it in my life.

I prefered this link more (after clicking your link).
Plants don't have a brain or neurons. So they do not feel pain.
They don't need a brain. Scientists were able to prove plants like broccoli CAN and DO feel pain! Plants can actually tell the difference between blowing wind, debris and predator insects crawling on them and protectively tightening their cellular structure on the surface only where predator insects are crawling in hopes that the predators can't bite through a thicker and tougher layer of skin!
Just because a "venus flytrap" doesn't have a face, doesn't mean it can't feel pain or a potential meal landing on it's surface!

On second thought, I just realized I can check the Kroger website.
Looks like the one near my house doesn't have it, but other one does.

Chalky. Yes, you have to let it sit out quite a bit compared to normal ice cream, but it's not that chalky if you do.
I don't know why everyone is so hostile about ice cream. Eat what you want, and maybe stfu while you are at it.

It says "Contains Milk Protein"
How can it be vegan if it contains milk protein? Or does milk protein come from a non-animal?
very confused...
