I didn't receive my normal email from SVS announcing the outlet sale for Memorial day. So I went to their site and found this. Hunting for my second PB-16 Ultra. See you over there at noon today.

SB1000, if you're into that, might go 399? I don't shop their speakers so I can't advise there.
Absolutely love my PB2000, I put the bass-isolating feet on it (they reduce rattle quite a bit for maybe a 10% reduction in perceived output) and it rocks my open-floor-plan 18x18 family room. It's the sweet spot of return-on-investment for subwoofers, IMO. Don't listen to comparisons to HSU, HSU ships for $100+ and the cost isn't usually comparable in my experience, though they are great subs.

What you hear and your opinion may vary
Monoprice's customer service is just as good as Denon/Marantz ..Onkyo/Pioneer and a step below Yamaha in my experience
I had a missing part on my Monolith 12"...a power cord....a couple of emails and I had one delivered in 3-4 days
The subs and the amps are performance power houses against anything even remotely close to their prices . I will go further to say that the Monolith separate amps could easilly go head to head with units at 2x-3X their price

Is that opinion based on personal comparison or something you read?
I personally compared the SB3000 vs Monolith 15", the SB3000 handily outperformed the Monolith overall,
I bought the SB3000 for $850 also 😁

I have seen opinions on both sides/all over the place
As I have stated many times opinions dont have to have anything to do with facts
As for the service proposition and my response:
I have personally dealt with service from the all the brands I mentioned
I understand what someone considers " good" service is subjective as well and has its sliding scale of expectations

Well I guess this is a good testament on the importance of auditioning, "facts" may not be a good indicator on which is better "performance" wise.
As a matter of fact throughout the many years of doing this, I can't tell how many times that stats/measurements/"facts" turns out NOT to be the best performing/choice once you listen for yourself.

Rather I would say it proves that people can have opinions that have nothing to do with facts
An opinion doesnt really have to have any factual basis whatsoever
After many years of doing this I can honestly say that...to me...stats have always played a role in what I thought. I cant honestly say I recall a situation where my thoughts were the opposite of the facts
For instance..in testing some AVR's internal amps years ago
Myself and friend did prove that the Onkyo 875/876 series AVR's indeed had a a better internal amplifier than the Denon 4310 did in lower ohm loads
The specs shows that it...but we indeed proved that it was a better amp

I would agree and even go further and say an opinion needs no factual bases.
To give an example on my point which happens often I'll use what you said:
"Performance stats are BETTER on the Monolith 12" versus the PB2000
What you hear and your opinion may vary"
You gave an "opinion" on how two subs "compared"/ sound like based on "stats/facts", to your admission you never actually compared them by listening.
So lumping that "opinion" with your Denon/Onkyo one are two COMPLETELY "opinions".
So saying "I CAN'T honestly say I recall a situation where my thoughts were the opposite of the facts" isn't as accurate as it sounds.
So to my point, I've personally compared those two subs.
"Facts" may say the Monolith was "better" but listening to them.
IMO the 2000 performed "better" overall.
IMO people should take "stats/facts" AND many of these "opinions" with a grain of salt because they are likely inaccurate once they actually listen.
