Is there a version of this that is Alexa-compatible for color choice/dimming and DOESN'T have China data privacy risks? (yes, I know Alexa isn't very secure either, no need to lecture on that)
is there a version of SD posters that aren't conspiracy theorists?

Is it bright enough to light up a bedroom well? Or more like mood lighting?
Bought some clone of this and it's not very bright. 1500-2000 lumens but a lot of that is directed upwards.

Now they are nowhere to be found

If it did, I'd actually spend money on this.

Please watch the video that is next to the photos below the lamp images...the actor is a major league talent. The way he pretends to sleep, slightly opens his eyes only to see the camera is still on, then quickly closes them was absolutely magical. Nailed it.

This lamp must support Ray tracing because it's all shiny on top on the picture. I wonder how this will make beautiful Global illuminations all over my house?

Anyone know how many watts this is? That's a fairly standard measure of output.
I plugged mine into a Kill-a-watt last night, when cycling colors in breathe mode it was in the 3-19W range, when I set it to white light, at max brightness, the wattage varied slightly based on color temperature, but the highest I observed was 29.2W.

Does this one swoop through all the colors or a set range?
It has multiple "scenes" available, which you can edit in the app.

I have actually purchased the item in the OP, and yes, it's Chinese, but it does not seem like crap quality to me (hence why I've ordered a second one). Can you provide a link to a similar item manufactured in a different country?

I ordered one from the OP, just got it in. I'd call it semi-bright on full, it lights up the room but maybe not enough to read from. It's definitely not as bright as one of those 300w torchiere lights that I used to have. But it's also not using 300w or getting up to 200 degrees either. Seems good quality, app works, manual controls work good also. Perfect for what we wanted it for - a little colored (blue) lighting while watching TV so we don't have to have all the big lights on.

I'm using it in my office, about 12x12, and it gets the job done. You can toggle cold and warm white using the button (as well as various colors and two color-changing modes) on the lamp so you don't have to install the app if you don't want to.

The app didn't do anything unusual but it does require location services enabled when you first join it which is strange.

The music setting is neat but the lights need to be more in tuned with the song

Reminds me of when we went to set up a Roomba for my dad, and he got hung up when the app asked for permissions. My dad was like I'm not giving this app permission to access my phone, what if it does something with it? My sister and I were like what is going on right now, does my dad not know how apps work? He literally could not get past that it wants access to his microphone or whatever.

I feel like some people need to either accept how stuff works, or go off the grid and be consistent about it. I.e., I guarantee there are at least 10 things you are using that are far worse. Like all the Google services and Facebook.

I got one last week. It's surprisingly very bright. Lights up the entire room.
