Also, compare any deals on car rentals with options from Turo, Avail, or other car sharing services. They can be dramatically cheaper - I just did a 5 day rental for $185 total with Avail. Avis was going to charge me $550+.
there's not a single actual hot deal here, it's just a collection of affiliate links to travel sites.
Yeah this is just an advertisement. Nothing in here is a significant savings over what you could find going on any of the linked sites yourself. It's a promoted post, so presumably, whoever made it paid to have it stickied and is hoping to earn enough in affiliate marketing payments to earn back what they spent on the ad. Nothing against an enterprising business venture, but it feels like this would absolutely destroy Slickdeals if it became too common.

Avail reviews at LAX via google are sketchy way to many 5 star over the top reviews

Only recently heard of these options. Any service better than another (AirBnB for stays, Uber/Lyft for rideshare, etc)? Looking for a car rental and I found offsite but near airports are a little cheaper than from the airport itself. Even after an Uber ride to and from airports to the rental place you'll still find some decent savings.
When I booked my car reservation with Budget it mentioned in the email "This reservation was made using a corporate BCD (Budget Customer Discount Code) that requires validation of eligibility. Please be prepared to produce your company ID, business card, or a recent email with the company's email domain (e.g. @xyzcompany.com) for employment verification purposes when picking up your vehicle."
Tempted to cancel and just book through Costco to be on the safe side.

People have wisely moved away to Avis long ago - I didn't and it was hell.

I figured as much from the generic subject of the email alert.
Looked at the OP and yep its just affiliate links to existing "deals". Thumbs down.
