Stoneware made in China not very durable. Better off with Pyrex IMHO. Or better yet get one with good handles
that you can hold securely with oven mitts.

I love Le Creuset but not their regular stone bakeware/cookware. I wouldn't pay even the sale/clearance price for it. If cast iron, then it's a steal.

These baking dishes are great! I don't understand what's with the weirdos and loving cast iron to bake with. I've tried that and things come out underdone or burnt. These dishes are easy to clean, heats evenly, doesn't burn your food. I bought 3 different sizes a year ago, and I love all of them. No cracks either, but I'm also really gentle and cautious, since they are expensive. No stains either, so they look brand new still. If you can afford it, then these are definitely worth it.

In daily use, there are no real cons. You may have to adjust cook times somewhat because cast iron holds more heat. But they both can work equally well.

In daily abuse, coated cast iron wins. Stonewear is pretty durable, and can last for years. But it will eventually succumb to wear and crack, or shatter if you drop it. Coated cast iron may chip if you're really rough on it, but it's nigh-indestructible.

These can be found at Marshall's or TJ Maxx for ~$20. I have a few of these—they're pretty to look at but functionally no different from Pyrex ware, though they are hand wash only

Absolutely avoid. This one will crack on you, for no apparent reason. Speaking from experience.
