I'm no M.2 expert but I have been in the market for a much larger SSD and just upgraded to a MOBO that has the M.2 slot.

I'm not doing a ton - Mainly gaming (no streaming) and remoting in to my work PC. Just looking for a large drive and some overall faster R/W speeds than the typical 2.5 SATA SSD.

be aware this one doesn't have DRAM cache, which not only reduce speed but also affect write endurance (TBW).

Doubtful any of those are of concern if the drive is used for gaming short of maybe a mass copy of another drive to this.

Here's a recent article tallying up the best SSD's. https://www.pcgamer.com/best-ssd-for-gaming/ When it comes to NVME drives, price basically reflects performance for the most part. But I doubt you'd notice a speed increase in gaming with a faster drive then the deal on this page. I can't find a decent review of SSD's going head to head in game load times. And the tech that the PS5 uses won't be seen in PC's for at least another couple of years.
