The PS3/PS Vita stores[polygon.com] will not be shutting down. However, the storefront for the PlayStation Portable (which dates to 2004 and hasn't been supported since 2014) will be closed down, on July 2, 2021, as originally planned.
Also, the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Season Pass has FINALLY went on sale. $29.99 from $39.99. Considering the Wrath of the Druids expansion released recently and sells for $25 on its own, you're spending another $5 to get access to one more piece of DLC now, and one more later this summer.
Meanwhile, the Dragonball Z: Kakarot Season Pass still hasn't discounted .
Anyone know of any good sites with PSN cash cards discounted/good cb to double dip? My normal go to is Amazon digital codes to get 5% back on my Prime card
Because it's 2021 and everything is moving digital for the future. Physical media is dying a slow death, but it definitely is dying.
Movies, music, games, software is all primarily digital now. Get with the times and stop collecting plastic you'll likely never revisit and won't be worth anything in the future.
Also a store shutting down is no new purchases, you can still access your paid content.
Right...won't be worth anything (side eyes a few thousand dollars worth of Wii, PS, PS2, and PS3 games in my media cabinet)

If a store shuts down then they are not paying to keep their servers running. Hope your HDD/SSD with all your games on it never dies.

Wow. Thanks for schooling all of us about digital goods. I think you may be a little confused about the value of physical media though. I sure am glad I bought most of my 3DS games in physical form, since many of them are $40-80 a piece on eBay. Oh, but apparently they are worth nothing beyond their plastic value because Digital Boy here says so.
Until our digital purchases are in the form of some kind of Non-Fungible Token, and we own them independent of the store fronts, accounts, and devices we purchase them on - and can sell them to other people, then I'll continue to buy Physical when available. Currently, digital goods on these stores are literally worthless unless you are planning to sell your entire accounts. Literally the opposite of what you said. Yeah... no thanks.

I've been holding out for it to go below $40, but it's been so long since release at this point, I'm not sure it will go lower before BF

60 FPS on PS5, too.
