You forgot amazon price gouging as several items I bought regularly increased over %30 in price and some even doubled.
Amazon peaked. Now they are arrogant and increasingly so.

How do you activate the 5 cent discount at the pump with W+?
When you arrive at the pump, the station will recognize your phone and provide a six-digit number when you open the Walmart app. At the pump screen, you push the W+ button and entire the code. The 5 cent discount will show when you start pumping your gas.

When signed up, W+ gave a 15 days trial and extended it to 30.

The thing is BOA offer good until 6/5, don't know whether the portal for $50 would honor it after 30 days.

Walmart refused to charge before the trial expires,

Safe play is to cancel the trial and subscribe and pay today to get the $50+BOA back?

I used Walmart+ throughout the past year. It was hit and miss. For the most part I appreciated the option of having groceries delivered during that time.

Definitely a lot of ordering things and then the day of the delivery they tell you its not available. Sometimes they didn't bring things they said they were going to and charged you for, but it usually takes like 2 minutes with customer support to get the refund. On the rare occasion they actually bring you something extra that you didn't buy lol. I got a free trashcan once and a free big box of baby wipes another time.

Also I stopped ordering ice cream at least during the summer. Might fully melt by the time it gets to me. I remember when I first started ordering from Amazon prime now they would bring cold stuff in a sealed bag with an ice pack. Amazon doesn't seem to do that either anymore though.

Add to that every month my subscribe and save order has at least one old outdated stuff / damaged item.
I get this a lot "An item in your upcoming Subscribe & Save auto-delivery is delayed." out of stock and then they cancel it after a few weeks and then by some miracle it's back in stock at a much higher price.

MyPoints has cycling offers of up to 17,500 points after a year membership posts which fully covers the fee cash in the points for gift cards. It dips up and down between 5000 and 17500. Use Chase offer and you come out about $10 ahead. DOSH rebated another $14 and I came out nearly $25 ahead.

The fine print of most offers recognizes that the trial period has to end and the annual fee post. At least that's how the Chase offers worked.

Has anyone who has prime and W+ found the W+ to be better than prime? It's nice that there's competition for amazon, but it also gets costly if you don't use both regularly (which we don't at this point).
It has its perks. I get groceries with it almost weekly. Which is great. I also have prime and whole food nearby. Prime whole food delivery is also good but it's more pricy since it's mostly higher quality products.
I get most my groceries delivery with Walmart plus and then organic products from prime .
Things to keep in mind is that you can get more than groceries delivered with Walmart plus. Toys and other products as well. Prime 2hrs only for certain cities,

One other good thing is that you get free shipping with no minimum with Walmart plus and you can get those $2 stuff delivered with Walmart plus free of shipping
I like both , and I will keep both

I have had Amazon for 10 plus years.
Up until last year, shipments were 2-3 days. Now 6-7 days at least to 2 weeks.
Walmart plus takes 2, 3 days.
On Walmart, i only buy from Walmart. That way i can return anything in 10 minutes at the local Walmart
During the middle of the covid-19 pandemic, even Amazon fell off the previous norms. That said, Amazon seems to be back on track at least in my part of the country (east coast). As far as Amazon returns, just as easy as Walmart, including Kohls, Whole Foods and the many UPS outlets.

I'm on the east coast also with a distribution center right up the street. Still takes 5 days. Hell, the site even says up front that the expected delivery is that long.

We prefer Aldi for groceries. They beat the pants off Wally any day in most all items. Not fancy stuff, but lots of staple foods.

Some of that is USPS not amazon.

Had two packages arrive locally (one after an errand from TX to MA to the Deep South) only to ship out of the local USPS distribution center and go out of state for two or three days. Then return to local USPS distribution center and take another THREE days for a package to be delivered to a post office box that is less than 3 miles from the distribution center.

Can't blame it all on amazon. They do rely after all on the ever worsening USPS.

That's good for the time being, but once Walmart starts losing $$$, I'm sure they will require a minimum purchase like Amazon does (or call them 'add-on items'.). When Prime was new, you could get all kinds of low-valued items delivered 'free' as well (once in a while you still can, but usually only on items $5 and up.
