The crappy thing that Amazon does is with their third parties. They allow them to advertise times that are Prime and end up being anything but. It's typically the Chinese drop shippers who quickly post a shipping number that doesn't resolve to anything for a few days, and if you call them out on it (through Amazon's deliberately arcane messaging system) they'll pass along the problem as a USPS or UPS issue when in fact they just issue a shipping number when they get the order knowing full well it's not going to be in transit until at least several days later.
Yeah the infamous "USPS Scan sheet" non-sense.

Has anyone who has prime and W+ found the W+ to be better than prime? It's nice that there's competition for amazon, but it also gets costly if you don't use both regularly (which we don't at this point).
We have both. Walmart shipping is much faster than Amazon. Sometimes walmart just send someone from the store to drop it at your door

$35 minimum on grocery + $10 tip per order? no thanks. looks like they are forcing you to spend $40 to be qualified for "free" delivery. not really free.
I am for tipping, but $10 for $35 delivery is a luxury for most and it's outrageous amount. Not everyone makes a 6 figure salary. I use mostly self services where is possible to avoid tips and fees, it adds up. Dont get me wrong, my wife uses Prime for Whole Foods ( we are both working adults ). I totally get it, your time is more expensive than your paper money. But don't tell me that you can't make time for quality grocery shopping once a week. Tipping a large amount spoils the party for people like me and ruines the expectations for workers, IMO.

I don't care about the fairness of tip percentage. If I eat for $10, my tip is gonna about $3. If I eat for $50, my tip is gonna max $6. If it's $100, it will be $8.

I sell cars. And statistically speaking, you need to see 4 customers a day to sell one car, sometimes you sell nothing. Test-drives, explaining features, days with delayed or no lunch it's draining af. Where is my tip?

During the middle of the covid-19 pandemic, even Amazon fell off the previous norms. That said, Amazon seems to be back on track at least in my part of the country (east coast). As far as Amazon returns, just as easy as Walmart, including Kohls, Whole Foods and the many UPS outlets.
Yes, i agree and understood; during the pandemic, now, and the conceivable future.
As far as returns, Walmart is the easiest for returns. In 10-15 minutes it is done. Nearest UPC place for me is 30 miles away.

Some of that is USPS not amazon.

Had two packages arrive locally (one after an errand from TX to MA to the Deep South) only to ship out of the local USPS distribution center and go out of state for two or three days. Then return to local USPS distribution center and take another THREE days for a package to be delivered to a post office box that is less than 3 miles from the distribution center.

Can't blame it all on amazon. They do rely after all on the ever worsening USPS.
No, with the dist. center right up the street we get about 95% of our stuff from Amazon delivery themselves and it doesn't "ship" for a couple days. Plus, as stated before, they even estimate the slow shipping up front. They already know they're going to hold it for a couple of days first.

Same here. I get all my Amazon deliveries delivered via their Amazon carrier. There is probably 8 warehouses with 30 mins of me. They just are taking so long to ship the items now. It's not the same prime that it was years ago. Even before COVID some packages were taking over 2 days and they were prime.

Lately i order couple of things from Allliexppppprezz from different sellers and find it interesting that they all arrive in one consolidated package, but are individually wrapped and labeled nonetheless..??!?!?!? how do they do this? I think some come from other countries, consolidated in one place and shipped to me all together...

Tried W+ for a month, I don't think it's anyways comparable to Prime. You don't get discounts like prime members get, the grocery order minimum is $35 for free delivery, there is no comparable streaming service. W+ is complete waste even for $4 a month IMO.

No lie, we haven't been inside a grocery store in over a year. Walmart delivers groceries to our door and anything else we buy on Amazon.com or Walmart.com and it's delivered within a few days

I'm in if I can figure how to get the 50% off. 🤷

I'm a weekly Walmart grocery shopper (curbside pickup) anyway. I've become a Walmart fan, it's super convenient to be able to add a variety of other items to my groceries- I've added swimsuits, makeup, copier paper, a toaster. I also love their "substitution" policy- if they're out of an item they substitute with a larger quantity and better brand (for the original order price). ie: I regularly order 8oz of guacamole and they're frequently sold out, so I get 16oz for the price of 8 (score!).

This would be $1 membership plus $5 tip a week - same as what I'd be spending in gas anyway.
