Great deal! Just purchased the $50 family to extend my existing sub another year!

What Im confused about is there were several references along the way that said it would renew at a rate of $69.99, but after purchasing, my current account says it will renew at $99.99.

Ok. So I found that my work email address was a viable address. When it gave me the confirmation email with the "Get Started" button in there to get to the purchase link, I purchased the first year for $50. I thought, sweet, what a great deal. But then I kept going! I turned off recurring billing (note I did NOT cancel my subscription). Then I went back to the email and clicked "Get Started" again! Another $50, and another year was tacked on to my subscription!

I did this (4) times! I just spent $200 and got my M365 Family subscription leveled up all the way to October of 2025! And then it still says that the recurring cost after that is the $69.99!

SUPER SWEET DEAL!
so you got one drive with it?

FWIW it said I was eligible

but later said I couldn't extend my current subscription ... (expires 10/2025)
Probably because you can stack for upto 5 years only. Hold on to your key and try again in October or November.

Does anyone know if Microsoft locks your M365 subscription (like Amazon)?

If you do a Windows 10 update, keep an eye out for a 365 offer during the process. I was offered $49.99 for a one year Family subscription, with an annual renewal of $69.99 thereafter.

Anyone know how I can switch back to Microsoft after Amazon hijacking the original MS account and registering the ,",renew" as a a Amazon created account..
I have this same problem. Lesson learned - don't renew non-Amazon subs via Amazon. Anyone else have this problem? Is the solution to let the Amazon renewed sub expire? Will the sub management even revert back to MS or are those of us who renewed through Amazon hosed?

So I just spent an hour with Amazon customer service and cancelled/refund my active sub through Amazon. Then I was able to subscribe again through Microsoft. Hope that helps others who are in the same situation.

Thanks for this tip. Did the same thing. Hate laying out 200 but that is a pretty great deal for 4 years of backup.

change title to "home use program" please. wasted peoples clicks. not many people are qualified. most of the time, if they were qualified, they already knew about this program via their company.
I knew about HUP but didn't know about this. Nor did I know I was loosing my google photos and MS has Mover.io all that is great info!!!

thats a disadvantage of outsourcing IT resources. unless your company doesnt have a dedicated it guy, or your company is hiring the wrong guy. its his job to let all the employees know.
