Yes. If you're on the fence, go for it. I had the original, and then got this. It's way better, not just bigger. The nest cam built in is awesome.

I mainly use it for digital photo frame. All the pics I take go to Google Photo and show up here. It's also a nice speaker for Spotify or the like.

One thing to note about the camera is it's pointed slightly upwards due to the device's slant. It's not a huge deal, but the view was sub-optimal for us sitting far back on the counter since it basically only sees the top half of the room.

One thing to note about the camera is it's pointed slightly upwards due to the device's slant. It's not a huge deal, but the view was sub-optimal for us sitting far back on the counter since it basically only sees the top half of the room.

It wasn't 150 last bf. Best non military deal was 180 with kohls cash. Supposedly some WalMart clearance, for less, but that almost never is accurate.

You just say "Hey google, show me a recipe for <insert food choice>". It will pull up multiple choices and read you the recipe step by step if you want. We do it all the time.

Yeah it was never 150. I got it in walmart clearance for 125+ taxes. Lucky me. I posted about that in SD but seems only very few stores had them in stock as it sold well across the US. I use it mainly as a photo album. Responds to voice really good. If you are you tube premium subscriber then watching youtube in it is really good with no ads. Built in security camera with 2 way talk is a plus. You can turn on the video and off from the app.

Nice! I always strike out on those ymmv WalMart deals. I use it similarly to you. I really recommend it highly, even at full price.

With Google no longer allowing free photo storage, this becomes useless for photo frame. Not a fan of any one eco system but still this decision by Google really sucks for users who relied on Hub for photoframe functionality.

I have always wanted to get this hub max for its camera but couldn't pull the trigger at these prices knowing that Echo Show 8 or even 5 comes with camera. Heard bad things about echo show 5 but echo show 8 has great reviews and is cheaper than hub max. And after waiting for so long and this Google photos announcement, I don't think I actually want it anymore.
