in terms of pure picture quality, this or the x950h?
This tv will be for my parents and they don't game so HDMI 2.1 doesn't matter
The X950H has better picture overall. The reason to get the X900H is the HDMI 2.1

Called local Costco and they have it, but delivery (if you can't DIY) is a mystery. They told me it's through a third party, which will refuse to give you any information about how much it will cost to deliver the item until after you purchase it. Only clue is that it starts "around $90." Frustrating, but I guess if it were $200 delivery, it would still be cheaper than the $1800 Amazon is asking.

Dang! Bought this about 40 days ago. Anyone knows if they do price adjustments beyond 30 days in the store?
Call their CS and talk to them. They are generally good

Was monitoring the X90H 65 inches for a while. Over night saw it for $999 but OOS online. Called a few Costco stores around, one had a last piece. So went and bought it. Btw, they said whatever is left is the last of it. So if interested, jump on it.

Rtings.com claims variable refresh rate doesn't actually work on these, anyone know if that's still the case?
It was to be released as an OTT update and it hasn't happened yet. Sony says by fall of 2021

Just return and repurchase

They'll send someone to pick it up. You'll just need to wrap it up before they arrive.

Would be much more considerate, and easier, to accomplish the "buy and then return immediately" in store rather than create a return where someone needs to pick it up, which then creates a used item that needs to be sold elsewhere, and then you need to also waste resources shipping a new TV to you, unboxing, setting up, etc.

And for those of us who bought it in Nov or December I don't think we can even return it now in the manner you suggest. Isn't it 90 days?

Rent a uhaul for like $30. Drive to your local costco and pick it up.

This is the 2020 model. I think they are clearing these out so a restock is unlikely.

I've read that the x950h is better pq. However, is it like $500 better? Highly unlikely. Plus, I doubt your parents will even care while watching local news lol.
