Ya for all the newbie wives that don't know how to clean or cook. LMAO

Thumbs up for the deal! Plus, its nice to focus on some paper instead of a screen sometimes too.

Just FYI that it takes about four months before you start receiving your mags. I'm at 4.25 months since a prior deal and still haven't received my first issue. I checked with them and they said it's coming.

The publisher sends the magazine to you (not DM). DM is just the middle man. I've never personally waited that long for a new subscription to start, and I've been using DM for over a decade. It really just depends on the publisher. The industry standard is 8-12 weeks, and if the magazine is not published monthly, it can take longer. Although over 4 months is a long time...

What magazine did you order? Did you look to see if you have an active subscription account at the magazine specific website (not DM)?

In case anyone is looking for a freebie...you can pick up some of these titles from RecycleBank (free).

No cc information is taken, no auto-renew. You complete tasks on their site to earn pts and redeem for subscriptions. It doesn't take long...but some folks don't want to deal with it.

Magazines Currently Available from RecycleBank
https://www.recyclebank.com/rewar...-magazines

Whether you use DM or RecycleBank, you can extend a current subscription. If you do, be sure to use the EXACT same name/addy information that is on your current mailing label. If you aren't sure...you can log into your subscription account at the magazine specific website to verify your information.

If, despite using the same information, you start to receive duplicates. You can resolve the issue contacting customer service at the specific magazine (not DM) by calling or submitting a message via your subscription account online. You provide the account numbers off the magazine labels, and ask that the subscription accounts be merged.

Be careful with the $2 magazines via RewardSurvey (aka Blue Dolphin). I signed up for some magazines via RS/Blue Dolphin in the past, and even though I followed their procedure for cancelling the auto-renew, they still charged me for the renewal. I did get my money back but it was a PITA. So...buyer beware, YMMV obviously.

RecycleBank is the only freebie site where I have always received everything I have signed up for...been using them for over 10 years with no problems. All the others (MercuryMags, ValueMags, RewardBee, RewardSurvey etc)...have kinda been hit or miss. Usually I'll get it, but sometimes I won't. It's a freebie, so it's not a big deal, but if you really want a magazine, it may be worth purchasing it via DM for a few dollars and then signing up for it again with a freebie site to hopefully extend the subscription you purchased.

You/your son may be able to view the digital copies via your local library system (you will need a library card)...so if you're unable to find a subscription for a good enough price, or you don't want to spend the money, it could be a good option.

I wasn't aware RewardSurvey is no longer free. Is that the case? I know about Blue Dolphin's shady reputation and would not order anything from them.

Some of RS mags are free, but some are $0.99-$2.00 and are fulfilled by BlueDolphin.
