Will the PC work without the GPU?
Nope, You need a dedicated GPU, so if you plan to rip the 3060 out for your own PC, you now have a paperweight.

Also be warned the 2x4GB ram modules are essentially worthless if you plan to upgrade for gaming, as these modules are slow and youd want to replace them and not simply add to them.

Also zen 2 not zen 3, so performance is good not great.

And a 400W junk PSU is also a dead end for upgrading the system.

The only reason this is a deal is because it has a 3060, which is impossible to buy.

The CPU has graphic capability but motherboard does not have a physical connector for monitor.
Not sure if this is actually correct. Unless the motherboard is actually different from configs without a graphics card, it should have VGA and HDMI ports on the motherboard. It looks like they cover these ports up for configs with a dedicated GPU.

Yeah most the parts are custom and it's the locked gpu. Can't add more than 1 drive. This is a garbage PC unless you want to use it as is for gaming

Specs state that there's an HDMI connector. It's not clear whether that's an on-board or from the GPU. Is your statement based on owning this PC? Thanks!

I was able to get the discount code to work on an incognito window, but in my own account it seems to be bugged. I think it's because the price is slightly lower before checkout ($880) with my EDU discounts. Unfortunate.

Can you gut this and put it in a new case, or is there proprietary crap involved from hp?

Worth getting now or just wait? I don't need a new PC right now so I am just looking for a deal that makes me buy.
I'm in the same boat as you and I am waiting. Pretty good price though.

It's getting harder and harder to pass up these 3060 deals!! I got so antsy waiting for a 3080 and AMD CPU I bought one of these GPU less cyber power PCs off eBay for $450 just to upgrade my old PC that had a 1070. Come on 3080 baby, no Alienware!

Yup. $885

Pretty good deal.

The power supply is trash, the case is trash, the motherboard is trash, the ram has poor timings, and the nvme drive it's not the best.....

But still this is about as good as it gets for the AMD cpu and Nvidia setup.

Thank you to the original poster for sharing.

Repped!

PSU and motherboard are proprietary.

I've watched a dozen vids on youtube and it's all kinds of messed up trying to put the mobo in a new chassis.

Was literally the first thought I had, trying to strip it and put it in a better case.
