Profitability the past week or two has dropped considerably. After electricity costs, you'll likely only make $2.50-$3 per day. My 3070 rig is currently making $4/day not including electricity costs.

Might be worth getting this deal if it will be used mostly for gaming, and while not in use, mine on it. For solely mining, not worth it imo.

New cards are hash rate limited for ETH but you wouldn't be mining BTC either

This be good be streaming and gaming? Or wait for a 3080 desktop deal?
What game are you talking about. I would say any of the rtx is good enough for gaming and streaming.. especially 1080p and possibly up

Speak for yourself. Did most of the people contacted you and confirmed they can live with RTX 3050 Ti? If anyone playing over 1080p, that 4GB video memory is going to be a bottleneck.
They limited the 3050ti to 4GB!? I don't know much about that card but that's crazy they would make a new rtx card in 2021 with 4GB memory...

There's an update to take off limit. The increases only work on daggerhashimoto coins though.

Nice deal but I think most people can live with a 3050 Ti for under $800. So I'll wait. Also would rather have their laptop not a desktop. And Ryzen not an i5.
Mind sharing rationale behind Ryzen vs i5

I am getting a

3060 (not Ti) with AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

OR

3060 Ti with Intel Core i7-11700F ($400 more)

Which one would you suggest?

Thanks a lot.

This is a solid deal. For most gamers, the 3060ti is good enough.

With that said, if you can pay more for the 3080, that's be a better route for future proofing. My kid gets 300+ FPS when he plays a simple game like Fortnite on it, which is hysterical.

It's a little silly to look at profitability of mining in terms of dollars at the time its mined as the exchange rate between eth and the dollar changes rapidly and significantly. The amount of eth you mine now might be worth $5 per day if you sold it today, but it could easily be worth $10 if you sold it a week from now.
You sell your ethereum for dollars when the value of eth is high and mine whenever you can regardless of the current exchange rate.

Apple moved away from Intel for a reason. i5 MacBooks were a battery drain and overheat. Most YouTube reviewers will tell you to get Ryzen for a gaming laptop. I will get RTX 3050 Ti and save my money. It has as many CUDA cores as a GTX 1080. If you're gonna spend more for the i7 then go for the Ryzen 7 instead.

Everyone gets that the 3080 is better. Whether it's $1000 or $1500 better is what people have to decide for themselves.
Buying a crazy overpriced item is not how you future proof when it comes to tech.

If strictly buying this to mine, consider using that money to buy the coins instead.

Is there any way to know what brand the 3060 TI is? I'm asking because it says "Nvidia" but I thought best buy had a exclusivity deal with Nvidia for their FE cards so I'm inclined to believe that whatever is in this isn't a FE card.
