Have owned a versa 2 for 2 years, wear it everyday, it gets wet, etc

No issues. What do you guys do? Heavy construction work while wearing?
My versa 2 (just died this week)... lasted the longest 2 years 2 months. It just flashed and went crazy one day and the touch screen stopped working. Factory reset several times, changed the clock face (customer service said to try that) still nada. Now it completely fizzed out. Was a good two years i guess!

This. Still using a 4 year old Charge 2. I had to replace the band and the charger, but the Fitbit keeps going.

I had just purchased the black version of this watch elsewhere. Luckily it hasn't shipped so I can cancel. OP saved me $100!! But I'm worried that the prices are going down because a new version is coming out but oh well.

I have a versa I gave to my son and a versa 3 that I use. Very upset about the fact users cannot download their own music to the versa 3/sense so I'm going Garmin. Too bad because I like most things about the versa except the poor connectivity to my phone.

How does this compare to a dedicated bicycle GPS? I would be using it primarily for cycling only.

Also a side note a out Jenson. I bought a few items from them recently to qualify for their free shipping, but had to return one and paid for my own shipping back. Upon processing (which took nearly 3 weeks), the return pushed me back under their free shipping tier, and the refund they processed had their shipping cost deducted from it. I don't think I've ever seen that done before with any other retailer.

The inventory count isn't very accurate, kept saying 3 in stock for the black even after I ordered one like 2 hours ago
Did you get an email from your order?

I didn't get an email. I created an account during order creation and there is no order. They sure did charge my card already though so will hope for the best...

Edit:. Got my email confirmation

Yep. Fitbits break just after the warranty is up; not made to last.
Yes, FitBit is getting worse with every release. My 6yo Charge is still working, although battery lasts for maybe a day. Charge HR stopped working after 1.5 year. Blaze stopped working just after warranty expired. I b..ched enough and was offered Ionic at half price. Which stopped working after 1.5 year, I said "enough is enough" connected it to charging cable and completely forgot about it. A couple of days later found it running just fine and it has been chugging since then...
For the last 18 months I'm eyeing Vivoactive or Venu, but damn Fitbit doesn't want to die...

I have had an honor band 4 for a while now and it does most of what I need, but there are a few things on my wish list. I've had a hard time finding a review that explains all of this.

1. Swim activity: the honor band is pretty good at recording the number of laps, strokes and stroke type: freestyle, backstroke, etc. Can this Garmin? Can all Gamins?

2. Edit activity data. Sometimes the Honor band counts the laps incorrectly and there's no way to edit the data to fix it. Can you do this with Garmin's app?

3. Export data. Honor bands can't export data. Can the Garmins? Into what formats? I'm mostly interested in swimming data, maybe biking, walking, heart rate and sleeping.

4. Can you turn the continuous heart monitor on and off from the device or only from the app like the Honor band?

5. Swimming: is it easy to start and stop an activity? Without real buttons, the Honor band can be tricky to stop when in the pool when it's all wet.

Can the smaller Garmin trackers like vivosmart and viofit (not their bulky watches) do all of the above?

Thanks!

I have a Huawei gt2 watch that is great does everything including music has all the health stuff including o2 levels, decent workout software and the battery lasts 2 + weeks. Not bad for $150 or so. Measures sleep and stress levels. Will work with select scales too. The memory is 4 gb.

10. Buy FitBit on Black Friday for amazing savings.
20. Just before Black Friday, following year, get replaced at least once under warranty because it inevitably would break.
30. Just before Black Friday year 2 get American Express extended warranty credit because it would have broken again. Go to 10.

Did this cycle for several years until American Express extended warranty went away and then switched to Garmin because the FitBits only last about 11 months at best (they may last longer but will have significant issues within that first year).
Hahaha I appreciate the classic BASIC programming setup πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜‚
