Oh boy y'all are killing me. I am a woman and know this isn't for fishing. Yes you could use it for Turtles or Troutline. But I am sure you would have a heck of a time putting this on a Rod and reel set. But it's something like mule tape mule tape is not for catching or tapping up mules by the way ! It's for fishing fiber optics and other lines for underground work. Of course again I am a woman I could totally be wrong
