Looks like if you don't have currently enabled Amazon Sidewalk devices, you won't have the option in your Alexa setting to turn it off(?)
So later on additional device become enabled, you need to turn off Amazon Sidewalk at that time??? Meaning if Amazon suddenly enable older gen Echo (or other device currently not in the list) to act as sidewalk, then at later time, the option to turn it off will be available and someone need to remind you to turn off sidewalk???
Or in the future you buy newer echo devices, then need to remind yourself to turn off sidewalk at that time....

Will old Echo dot, Fire TV stick, Fire tablet, etc trigger this setting?
Update: Just notice someone posted the list. So may be 1st/2nd gen Echo dot won't trigger this setting(?)
So time to skip newer gen Amazon/Echo devices....

And is it true that if you don't have Amazon/Echo devices that currently capable act as Sidewalk bridges, there won't be option show to disable it for your Amazon account???
But in the future you do buy Echo devices that is capable as Sidewalk bridge, then you need to remember to turn it off which most people may not remember??
May be easier to remember not be buy any future Echo devices.... Someone need to post reminder in all future Echo device deals.....

Not really. Skynet is a fictional artificial intelligence that wants to kill people. Sidewalk is just a network with very little bandwidth, for connecting smart devices that don't require much data.
My app doesn't have this section. Ring app did. So I don't konw if i'm enrolled or not. Thanks Jeff!
That's more than I want to possibly share without getting paid.
I agree 🙂

That's how it starts...j/k
I would be just as concerned about the UWB vulnerabilities that Apple and Google are using/going to use for their tracking tags. However, throughout human history, humans have figured out how to use new technologies for nefarious purposes with great alacrity. This is nothing new in that regard. Since I've only got 2nd Gen Echoes, I am not personally tied to Sidewalk.
