Got this for the same price awhile back and have had it installed for about 6 months now. I've gotta say for the price this unit has been more than satisfactory. The only blimps I've had so far are maybe 2-3 I needed to do a hard reset cuz the screen froze (paper clip into small hole in front) but other than that carplay works great as long as you use a apple Mfi certified cord, and it's integrated to my backup cam (with additional harnesses) flawlessly.

It's not the greatest obviously but for the price I'd rather have this than one of those China made android double dins lol.

I've had a Duel single din Bluetooth deck in my car for about 5 years now and zero issues.

As a dumb teenager, I went through about 3 Dual head units. They all lasted about a year before major issues. The last one, would max out volume no matter how you turned the volume knob. Never again - spend a little more and get a better unit. I got a Boss one about 2 years ago, it came with a 5 year warranty even if you self install, it has been great. I spent around $200. Dual is utter garbage.

Isn't your climate control integrated into your dash where this would go? If you stuck this in there, no heat/AC, all that good stuff?
Just going off memory of an ex's car. Might be able to do something custom below all that, so no need to touch the important stuff.. let us know what you come up with

Dual isn't known for quality, but CarPlay/Android Auto headunits are like gold right now. Supply is uber short and not easing up probably until at least Xmas.

Ha you say go with a better brand than dual and get a boss!?

Boss is just as garbage as dual. Some Good brands are pioneer, kenwood, alpine, and jvc.

I got one back in 2011 to put in a 2007 base rav4 to give me navigation. Worked great till I sold the car this year. No quality issues whatsoever and sound quality was good as a pioneer. Got a better version to put in a Hyundai 2004 and it again worked very well but had to trim the opening a little. These are really good and work very well.

I have this. It's pretty decent for the price. But I'm super bummed because I just tossed the box, etc... I think I would have tried a return/rebuy kind of thing. Oh well. Still pretty happy with it at the original $150.
