We had the Best Buy Store in Marlborough MA to do the install and they did an AMAZING Job. I also did my car... full system. My cross overs were so big that they had to install them under my front seats.
But with the newer cars you can not put in a deck. Needed other type's of equipment.
Ok... For 200 it was unlimited install for the FAMILY. They charged me an extra 50 to shave my dash and to take out my seats to install the cross overs.... I JUST THANKED THEM.
So my wife got a deck and camera on her car and I got a complete car stereo .... Speakers and 2 amps amps, a 12" sub and another piece cause I can not install a deck... It takes your radio signal and passes it through to the amps (I used audio control with a built in eq) and my speaker cross over installed under my seats cause they were so big that they did not fit in the doors AND they had to shave a speaker hole on my dash to accommodate my speakers... Size was for a 3
5" and I had a 4.5" for a brand new maZda 6 2018.... Did this in may 2019. I also got a radar detector hard wired.
The speakers I installed were Boston acoustics 6.53 pro.... 6.5", 4.5" and tweeters. And putting 300 watts RMS to the speakers. I did not amplify or change my rear speakers and used the car deck to push them.
Only regret is that I did not get cameras installed... Hard wired. And I still have no cameras.... Dash cam.
Other shops upted me about 1,000 in labor just for my car.
LAST THING.... I think the managers name was Mike.... Not sure. But I can request the manager to work on your install, u may have to wait a bit longer, depending on his bookings... But I would make that request. And most of my equipment was not purchased there and anything that was they had a program that would search there competitors prices and would price match.

im not good at fixing stuff specially the electrical part.
initially i wanted to buy from Best Buy and get a free installation. other comments they there is additional $50~$100 to get it installed at Bestbuy. However, i live in GA and there is no free installation at best buy local stores so i watched few videos and tried on my own.
turns out, it is very easy. I just had to connect same color wires(wiring harenss to stereo adaptor) and connect wiring harness to the car. However, i could not find harness that connects to factory installed backup camera.
Overall, took about few hours to finish. and I wasted additional few hours trying to buy wire connectors that fit wiring harness...
This stereo works very good so far. hopefully last pretty long..!
Has anyone had success with the backup camera setup? I bought the Dual brand camera. When I put the gear in reverse, the screen changes to camera input on the radio. But it says there's no video input. Not sure if it's cabling or bad camera or ??? I used the video cable with built-in red wire for the backup + lead wire. I connected one end to the harness and the other to the backup light positive terminal.

Sorry...I just saw the older update on the bottom. I did not apply that update. Only the latest one...the one dated 4.20.2021. The older update appears to also have an MCU update.
