Speed is limited by the SATA connection. You won't get the speed you get with pci or m.2.

Listing durability in hours rather than GB of write endurance is an odd choice. One of many concerns I have about this drive.

And man that speed! I recently installed a 2nd M.2 and did a doubletake when I saw the transfer speed.

It's cheap because it most likely doesn't have any DRAM. If you're interested in keeping your data for the long term, I'd stick to better known brands, which publish more info about their products. This is one of those times where you'll get what you pay for.

Honestly, I wouldn't trust any SSD but Samsung. The stakes are too high. Well maybe WD Black.
The crucial mx500 is also a decent choice. 2 years of use in my current gaming rig and no issues.

I've trusted Micron RAM for 20+ years, and they make Crucial. I've been using their SSDs for a while now and the seem to be great. I have used some cheap SSDs on netbooks and things that didn't really matter, but for better name stuff Samsung and Crucial have both been great to me. The "big name" in memory I'm starting to see issues with is SanDisk. I haven't had a large enough sample to be certain, but the small sample I have had is causing me to question their long-term viability.

Getting warmer. Still waiting to replace my 1TB nvme ssd I bought three years ago for $69. Samsung, Sk Hynix and Micron stop colluding to milk the consumer at 1-2TB kkthx. We are ready to be cheated at 4-8TB.

looks like a D ram less drive. which is fine as long as you are not writing few hundred gig of data at one time.
i happen to have one 1T dram less drive for a game folder. but i also bought that under 70 dollar about a year ago. i think the price need to be a bit better.

This exactly. It's especially hilarious seeing consumers defend those conglomerates who have been handicapping technological progress for years, artificially with tacky greed. Compare that with the urgency to create a world-changing vaccine at "light speed" or whatever you want to call it: technology should be advancing as fast as possible without these fake barriers.

Would you mind sharing your issues with Sandisk, anecdotal or otherwise? Genuinely curious because I buy a lot of SSDs and usually trust them. However, good to know if users are starting to see problems. Thank you!
