I currently have the WEN 56380i and have been on the lookout for a deal on a 2000 series WEN generator and this popped up. Ordered it yesterday and It just shipped out today laugh out loud

Great price as others are selling it for way more: Amazon & Walmart $492, HD $524

Has the fuel shut off feature which is great.

Specs:
- EPA III and CARB-Compliant 79.7cc 4-Stroke OHV engine produces 2250 surge watts and 1800 rated watts
- Extremely quiet 53 dB operation comparable to the sound of a normal conversation according to the US Department of Health and Human Services
- Fuel shutoff maximizes the generator's lifespan by using up the remaining fuel in the carburetor before shutting down
- Produces clean power to safely operate sensitive electronics such as smartphones, tablets, televisions and computers
- Includes two three-prong 15A 120V receptacles, two 5V USB ports, an oil access panel, and a two-year warranty

Free shipping and no tax for me. $385 out the door.
Not sure how long this deal will last.

If you normally charge your car on a 15amp circuit, then yes, you can use this to charge your car. The capacity of this generator is slightly higher than 15 amps. So pretty much anything you would run on a single 15amp circuit, you can run with this generator. Of course the more power the generator needs to produce, the higher it is going to rev which will increase the amount of noise it produces and the amount of fuel it uses.

You'll probably get 2 miles per hour of charging on a Tesla Model 3.

You'd need to convert the peak and max running watts convert from watts to amps. Check your fridge specs, it will usually say startup amps and running amps. Compare each to see gen peak/max < fridge peak/max. Fridges usually don't don't use running more than 7ish or so iirc. But startup is higher. 1800 watt gen running 120v would be around 18 amps should power most fridges but you'll want to check startup watts -> amps

It will run anything that runs at 1800 Watts or less AND has a Peak (startup draw load typically) of under 2250 Watts. I can exceed these parameters on my other Wen units and they dont blow the breaker, but you should look up the information on the draw of the unit you intend to use

Regular generator is not the same as inverter generator. This is pure sine wave for those that are concerned about their electronics.
Just because you're lucky doesn't mean you're right. CO rises and what unfortunately oftentimes happens is the CO goes up and into the house of an attached garage. Plus just because you can in your situation doesn't mean that everyone can.

Right from the CDC:

Never run your car or truck inside a garage that is attached to a house even with the garage door open. Always open the door to a detached garage to let in fresh air when you run a car or truck inside.

Never use a generator inside your home, basement, or garage or less than 20 feet from any window, door, or vent.
Wish it was a dual fuel.

Not trying to be run down the thread but didn't we used to see deals on these (or similar) down in the $250 range? Now 50% more is a deal?

Are those days just gone or am i mistaken?

A search on Slick Deals shows this as the cheapest they've ever been posted here for. This thing is a total no-brainer for anyone who is susceptible to power outages due to fire danger, etc

These still can't be used inside the home
Right? Assume they have to parked outside during use, just like a normal generator?

I'm speaking for similar models not this one specifically. I found these threads:

Sportsman 2200 watt $299

Champion 2000 watt $299

AIpower 2300 watt $250

Wen 1200 watt $234

These are all fairly old threads so I think my research has answered my own question. Yes there was a time where such a device could be had in the 200s but that was before the recent price hike that we've seen across multiple areas.

Edit: also Pulsar 2000 watt
(decent direct comparison) $287

There are comparable models around the same price or less on, tacklife 2000w inverter for $320 on Walmart for instance, I really do need an affoedable inverter generator before the hurricane season but couldn't decide which one I have a feeling I will regret not buying one very soon

$355 for the Tacklife (tax for my state) vs $385 for WEN which has actually been proven.....yeah I'll take the WEN. But hey it is your choice. Lol
