Regular generator is not the same as inverter generator. This is pure sine wave for those that are concerned about their electronics.

Just because you're lucky doesn't mean you're right. CO rises and what unfortunately oftentimes happens is the CO goes up and into the house of an attached garage. Plus just because you can in your situation doesn't mean that everyone can.

Right from the CDC:

Never run your car or truck inside a garage that is attached to a house even with the garage door open. Always open the door to a detached garage to let in fresh air when you run a car or truck inside.

Never use a generator inside your home, basement, or garage or less than 20 feet from any window, door, or vent.

Not trying to be run down the thread but didn't we used to see deals on these (or similar) down in the $250 range? Now 50% more is a deal?

Are those days just gone or am i mistaken?

A search on Slick Deals shows this as the cheapest they've ever been posted here for. This thing is a total no-brainer for anyone who is susceptible to power outages due to fire danger, etc

These still can't be used inside the home
Right? Assume they have to parked outside during use, just like a normal generator?

I'm speaking for similar models not this one specifically. I found these threads:

Sportsman 2200 watt $299

Champion 2000 watt $299

AIpower 2300 watt $250

Wen 1200 watt $234

These are all fairly old threads so I think my research has answered my own question. Yes there was a time where such a device could be had in the 200s but that was before the recent price hike that we've seen across multiple areas.

Edit: also Pulsar 2000 watt
(decent direct comparison) $287

There are comparable models around the same price or less on, tacklife 2000w inverter for $320 on Walmart for instance, I really do need an affoedable inverter generator before the hurricane season but couldn't decide which one I have a feeling I will regret not buying one very soon

$355 for the Tacklife (tax for my state) vs $385 for WEN which has actually been proven.....yeah I'll take the WEN. But hey it is your choice. Lol
