With Panasonic inching out of the m43 market too I personally wouldn't invest in them (JIP/Olympus) hoping for lots of new stuff. Though what's currently available is quite good. To be fair, I wouldn't invest this kind of $$$ into an m43 camera (this deal) even if Olympus were doing great. It's not a great value proposition IMO.
As to Panasonic, they've already announced two new video cameras and a new lens. There was also a leak today for an Oly PEN camera (E-P7). I cannot say for certain what the M43 market will look like two years from now, but I can say with a reasonably degree of confidence that video isn't going anywhere even if photography largely moves on to small form factor FF like the A7C and premium APS-C like the Fuji X and Sony A6000 range.
PS - This deal isn't particularly hot.

As you say the 1 series is done. Nikon have stopped producing it, stopped marketing it, stopped R&D. It's an abandoned system. As I said for Olympus, that doesn't mean it will stop working overnight, just that there's no future for it. If you're keen to jump into a system with no future then by all means do. It's your money and your prerogative.
Over $2k for a camera with worse subject tracking AF, larger m43 footprint, less impressive noise/DR and is more expensive than many full frame and APSC contemporaries? Why spend so much when there are perfectly fine m43 cameras out there for much less that will get you about the same results. The savings could be spent in good lenses too, which are arguably more important anyway. If I'm a new consumer why would I choose this camera over a Sony, Nikon, Fuji, etc… for this much money?
Truth be told I happen to like m43 cameras, the GX8 is one my all time favorites to shoot with, but I've yet to see a compelling argument for why the camera in this deal in reality, and not on paper, makes sense for the price being asked. So yeah, at this price point it's a poor value proposition.
i assume you have the kit 14-42 mm lens? keep in mind that 12 is just slightly wider than 14. if 14 doesn't work, 12 won't work either. i have the 9-18, and i really think you need to go under 10mm for any actual wide angle shot. human eye is about 17mm (or 8mm for MFT) for reference.

For indoor shooting with sometimes poor lighting, I wouldn't recommend the E-M1 iii. For your purposes, full-frame is the way to go. I have been shooting Sony for years, after my switch from a Canon 6D and 60D setup with mostly fast primes.
My a6000 is nearly as good in low light as my 6D was, and my a7r was great in low light as well as for landscape/interiors. I moved to the (now discontinued) a99ii a year after it was released, and it is the best camera I've ever owned--although I do miss the footprint of the a7r.
