Got about 100 prints last month from both Amazon and my local CVS to compare side by side, and I was kinda shocked how terrible the Amazon prints were. Dark colors were muddy and hard to see, whites and bright colors were blown out. Plus they took almost a week to get to me where my local CVS let me pick up the prints in an hour.

Maybe I just got a bad batch, or my local(?) Amazon printer isn't as good as printers in other parts of the country, but I probably wouldn't order from them again.

Amazon Photos has unlimited original quality photo storage for Prime members if anyone is switching from Google Photos. 5 GB limit for videos though.

Has anyone used Amazon for prints before? What's the quality like?
The sad thing is that digital prints aren't at the same quality from walgreens or CVS as the old film roll prints from back in the day.
I'm actually looking for a company to start printing out some of our photos but I don't where I should go that's not overly expensive for good quality prints. I know one of the Walgreens printout was still grainy even at a 2"x3" size and the image was from a pixel 3a.
I'm wondering the same. I used to use JCPenney Portraits because they often had sales/coupons. Plus, their prints were legit, like old school Olan Mills prints. Shutterfly bought them within the last year, though (boo), so now I'm back to looking for good quality prints for a decent price...

Sorry for an irrelevant question: how can I thumb down an individual comment, not the original post?

I only see "like" button under each comment.

Me. I don't have one, that's who "don't" have one at home.
I own one, but haven't printed a photo on it in over 10 years, because it's more expensive to buy good inkjet photo paper and pay for the ink compared to just paying to have them printed on commercial grade printers (and that's even assuming you won't have to repeat a print job because one of the colors of ink jams up mid-print).

That's the problem, they're not usually free. Getting them for free doesn't somehow make them less terrible.
Yeah, it does. It's not like they are not usable or so subpar that they are worthless. I'll get a bunch of prints for family, some frames and mattes and I bet these will be a big hit next Thanksgiving.

People complain about the quality when they are completely free. Unbelievable.
Well its not really a deal if the pictures don't come back worth af now is it?

I don't know when I've gotten 2-day delivery last from Amazon for anything. That quietly went away.
Not here. At least twice this week already.

I ordered a friggn air conditioner and it came the next day. Dead ass.. I wasn't even prepared for it because Amazon said it was supposed to come the day after so I had to change my plans for the day since I live in a 3 floor walk-up.

Then they wound up coming at 5:30am to deliver..

I have 3 canon pixma pro-100s printers at home and I still use adorama prints for most.

I have only printed on amazon a few times when it's a deal like this, free. And usually it's just of a single picture to hand out to families so they can put on their fridge. The quality is slightly lower. Costco used to have good printing but now that's gone too.
