Same situation as you - except i have the Costco Omen opened already from Sunday. I guess I could return it to Costco even if its open without restocking fee. Do you think Best Buy would take this back without restocking fees as well if a better deal comes within a few days?

Sure.100%.I returned Alienware 3070 shit back to Best Buy last week.No restocking fee at Best Buy.
ONLY FOR A SMARTPHONES.
Such a garbage!
Buy it...It's a day and night deal/PC,comparing with $1400 HP Omen PC from Costco.
BIOS locked,and you can't really upgrade nothing.
This case is upgradable.

I saw another system on B&H but with an older i7 generation. Was thinking about going through B&H since its tax free with their store card. Any thoughts?

First of all it's $150 more($1950).
1.Older K processor and it's not overclockable.
2 500gb SSD vs 1tb SSD. 5400 RPM hard drive -it's useless.You will end up upgrading with a SSD or larger and faster hard drive.
The only 1 thing is better-32gb RAM vs 16gb ram.
Most people,including me,don't need a 32gb.

NO WAY FOR ME.
This is a better deal and it's cheaper+ easier return.For me-45 days.
