A lot of people commenting on this not being a great deal. are totally missing the fact that the Ryzen 5 5600G is a pretty cool and capable APU without a GPU! Not to mention that the APU's (take-outs) are selling on ebay right now for $350-$400.

No matter, the slickdeal effect will most likely kick in today, and it will go out of stock as well!

Check out this vid where a guy did a build with just the APU!

HP's OEM 3060 is single fan, plenty of examples on eBay. I'll pass.

Trying again, I think I choose the Ryzen 7 not 5. Also I cannot get the edu discount.

1685 total for me. After taxes n everything. I used my education account which seems to have helped the same way the working advantage does. Says it'll ship July 1st, but I've heard HP is prone to pushing back those dates.

Sure, but you don't have these products TODAY. You're not considering there's at least a month or more of time decay on this.

After eBay fees (13% listing + payment process) and shipping of each item ($20 GPU, $10 for CPU - both insured and signature, unless you want to get scammed), you're right that these two items would "pay" for the computer.

But you're left with what? $100-120ish for each unit, made up of proprietary HP garbage parts.

You guys do you. But for me, making maybe $200 or so after a month's time, is not worth it. Let alone the hassle of dealing with parting this all out, the eBay fraud/scammers, and time investment, it's just not worth it - to me. But you do you.

For those that need a system and will use this, it's a solid offering for that person and a buddy, family member, friend, etc.

Yeah the lowest I could get them to go was $1770 plus tax that's with code and .edu discount. If they would of had 16gb of ram I would of went for it. But for 8gb of ram no thanks.

They offered me $1770 plus tax with coupon code and .edu educational discount some people on here getting $1658 after tax. I wouldn't of minded paying the $1770 plus tax if they had 16gb of ram but not 8gb of ram.

Well, I don't sell PC parts on ebay personally. I sell local, and it works out great for me all the time. Also, if I wanted to make a profit off of this deal, I would simply install the parts in a new $70.00 pc case (with all the pretty pre-installed rgb fans), and sell it local for $13-$1400ish. Its cool, capable, and has the latest and greatest CPU plus a 3060 which most people cant get. That's just how I roll though!
