$40 Off Lowest price I've seen. Actually, it's $119.99 everywhere that I've seen.

It will, but if you don't pay taxes (grandfathered in), then this will un-grandfather you and you will have to pay monthly taxes moving forward.
Thanks. I am using the original device since 2010 and with no taxes and fees.

No point in upgrading then.

So one has to pay ooma $7 and then Google voice $10 for each license(phone/handset?)

Only if your Google voice number is associated with a Google Business Workspace account. For personal google voice I think it is still free.

Has everyone had good quality performance with ooma? With basictalk I have had a lot of people say my voice cuts in and out. The ooma site seems to think I can transfer my basictalk number, so thinking of getting this or the regular telo.

Also, is there any way to have your number unlisted? I don't see anything saying you can...

Also, this shows a phone with it... but we can connect any home phone, right? I know this deal is expired, but deciding whether to go with ooma at all. After fees I think my basic talk is $17/mo so I'd save $10./mo and hopefully better quality. Only downside so far is it takes weeks to transfer a number.

I have had OOMA for well over 10 years by now. If you use a home phone, then yes, this is a great way to go. (If you use a home phone)

Honestly, I do not use a home phone much today....and if I did not have the unit already, I am not certain that I would buy one....but what a great place to send all the potential spam calls.

Of course, you can upgrade to Premium...but if you are debating if you even need a home phone....and you are not calling international, then it might not be worth the upgrade to you.

The concept behind OOMA is that, like a stereo, once you buy the device, it is yours. You do not pay for music over the air once you buy the stereo. You are already paying for internet...so why pay for VoIP once you buy the VoIP device?

im not debating if I need a home phone. I sue a home phone a ton. Only thing I am debating is keep basictalk or switch to ooma. I was just confused why it shows a phone coming with this when i thought it was only an adaptor, so just being sure you don't have to use the phone itself that comes with it. Other than that, just hoping it performs well.
