I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

For those doing referrals...anything made at $600 or above, you'll receive a form to claim such rewards on your taxes. I didnt realize that. Had 3 referrals, had to pay taxes on the $600.

So? Were you not planning on reporting the income on your taxes as required by law regardless?

No, its not that. I wasnt aware of referral bonuses being reported. Apparently If its under $600, you do not receive an official form. If its $600 or over, you receive one. Ive been churning cards a long time and this is the first time I ever received any tax documents regarding this.
I was told I had til June to cancel or downgrade to avoid the annual fee but I was already charged it. Is it worth it to keep around if I make a 6k purchase soon? It won't give much cash back would it? I plan on paying vet costs.

The 6k spend would get you 6000 points ($60 cash or $75+ if you travel or transfer to partners). You also get $50 hotel credit and 10% bonus points annually ($6). Seems you would come out ahead.
However, I believe you can still obtain a refund of the annual fee if you cancel within 30 days of the date of the statement that includes the annual fee.
