1800 views and no comments... I am in the market for a good PoE system. Can someone share their feedback on quality and price of this system? Are these 810 cameras?

I can't comment on this particular system but I have a few different 5MP Poe reolink cameras and they have been great since I installed them over 2 years ago. My experience has been good enough to convert my duhua and hikvision cams to all reolink and now I'm looking at upgrading some to 4k. Currently I use BlueIris but apparently you need the Reolink NVR for their 4K cameras, as sold in this package.

Thanks. Appreciate your response. Main issue I am having is figuring out the difference between the cameras offered in this bundle vs the 810. Not sure if its the same or worse. What's your opinion?

Not sure on that. It may be because the 800's don't have the person / vehicle detection. I'm not sure how that is built into the camera anyway. Seems like a software feature.

Hi MBBS, mepo12

"Is this any good?"
" .. want a a good PoE system."

Best to start with what your requirements are.

Example
watch and ID porch pirates in day light.
watch parked car at night.
watch mailbox on street for thieves

Significantly different operations, and .. :

In general Reolink makes very affordable cameras, using affordable components, and thus they do not perform well in low light conditions compared to pricier cameras.

imho if you need good low light performance you should look for better cameras.

see the following for low light issues:

Hi mat2000

Thank you for your response. Which 4K cameras would you recommend? I am new to this and would appreciate if you could help me out.

Hi @MBBS

Take time first to decide what is critical for you in a security camera setup.

Expect to need more cameras than you imaged if you are new to this.

See

1) Wiki Notes at https://slickdeals.net/e/10409612-lorex-dahua-oem-6x-4k-8mp-security-camera-system-w-8-port-poe-ip-nvr-2tb-hdd-kit-at-costco-b-m-ymmv-for-799-99
2) the cliffnotes at ipcamtalk and look for the welcome note that SouthernYankee posts there - it is a good executive summary.

There's more to this than just buying a random kit mentioned at a deal website.

I feel no kit is perfect, and with the global supply chain fubar still not as many good deals on decent systems right now. ( it may take 1 year for the global supply chain to be decent again )

A lot of people like using a PC with Blue Iris and a PoE switch along with a mix of cameras to get the best setup as you can buy cameras as you want or need to the setup ( just needs to be decent cameras that meet specs, like rtsp, ONVIF )

This is super helpful mat2000. I will research a bit more before deciding on what best suits my needs. Thank you so much!
