Only 90 days warranty. Which means no one year stuck/dead pixel policy they offer for new ones plus returns from customers after who knows what type of handling.

Not sure it is worth the risk.

I have the Zero-G 35", love it, awesome for gaming, great for something where you need a lot of screen real estate. Love the curve. I do kind of miss my dual monitors, as related to my work I need multiple Word/PDFs/websites open and having 2 smaller monitors was more seamless in this regard.

Just get it. Initially, I saw it on sale, after I did my research, the sale was done and I had to wait for 2 months for the next sale. I got a second one for another computer, a MP monitor via target where they have the same prices as MP, got the redcard 5% and some amount of rebate. Doubt they have open box though.

GLTA!

If you're not a gamer, those specs shouldn't make any difference to you. Outside of gaming at 144hz and some better color due to quantum dot tech, I would say it's not worth the upgrade.

Wow nice deal. 27" 1440p 144hz vs 35" 1440p 100hz ... Any recommendations between the two?

For video editing/excel work, thinking about 2 34" inch for the price of 1 49". More screen for the same buck?

Says 30-day money-back guarantee, anybody have any experience with the return process with monoprice, specifically monitors?
I've heard not great things.. I once had to pay $50 return shipping on a speaker set from monoprice. No clue about monitors tho

The Dark Matter at $299 is a steal but Open Box.....Hmmm.......

You have 90 days to see what condition its in and then your are done.

Anybody have had success with Open box monitors from these guys?
Where does it mention the 90 days for returns? All I can find is 30 day day money back guarantee. Been looking around on their website for more information, but I haven't found anything. Thanks in advance!

After a quick look at all these monitors, I think the 34" is the best overall monitor for gaming and work (if you're okay with Ultra-Wide). The 49" lacks height adjustment and is 8-bit color. Both the 34" and 49" use Samsung panels.

This may be a silly question as I'm new to the Mac ecosystem, but is there any reason these displays wouldn't be good with a new Mac mini M1?
It should work, but as someone who uses a Mac Mini for work, I prefer monitors with a USB-C port and a built USB hub. That way it's a single cable from the Mac Mini to the monitor, and you can plug everything you need into the monitor via the hub. I currently use an Acer XR342CK in this configuration, but would love a 49" super ultrawide that does the same.

Not really a gamer, is it worth the upgrade to the 34" from the 35"?
I see better response time 8 to 4ms, worse curve 1800r to 1500r, better frequency 100hz to 144hz.
Go for a IPS panel (not these). That will be the largest upgrade to you - not the size, curve or the minor refresh rate bump. The colors pop more, less washed out looking, and the viewing angles are much better.

I have the 35" and love it. However, everyone has their own tastes. Personally, I love the Ultrawide aspect ratio. The downside of it, not all games use it, so you're letterboxed on the sides or hopefully find a mod. The 35" is basically close to a 16:9 (standard widescreen) 28" monitor with an extra half screen of width. For most games, I find it more immersive.

BUT.. the 27" will have a better image and higher refresh. Though the 2 will be pretty close to equally taxing the GPU.

Really can't go wrong either way. Though the 35" is pretty massive. The stand on that, however, is not very adjustable. I put mine on an arm mount to get better flexibility.

Upgrading from 34 to 35 doesn't make sense, you won't feel the difference

Do any of these offer picture-by-picture modes? Hard to find info about Monoprice monitors online. Couldn't find reviews of the last listing anywhere except Newegg and Amazon.

Very good point. I forgot about the ultrawide. I have a 34" Dell for movies. I'll get the 27". Thanks for your inputs!
