I started watching a lot of comparison videos between the CX, C1, and Sony A80J because I wanted to be sure which one would be the better investment. Here's the notes I've written so far based on the side-by-side comparison videos I've watched:

Clarity/dimensionality: A80J>C1>CX
Motion: C1>CX(?)A80J
Brightness: CX>C1(?)A80J
Gaming: C1>CX>A80J
Reds: C1>A80J>CX
Greens: A80J>C1>CX
Yellows: A80J>C1>CX
Skin tones: C1>CX(?)A80J

It seems that one of the most noticeable differences between the C1 and CX is the reds. The CX displays red as more of an orange-red and the C1 displays purer reds. Also, in the side-by-side comparison, the C1 seemed to have more clarity/detail.

Cable/ Satt provider can barely handle 1080/720 resolution. Current streaming sites can only offer ultra compressed 4K content. Unless they invent a new data compression algorithm that will not degrade content quality. I do not see 8K being of any service to anyone except professionals.

There's nothing wrong with buydig. They have been in business for many years and will help you in case of issues. Buydig/Adorama/B&H Video, same owner. They have no competition (at least on East coast) since they sell every type of pro auido/video equipment that exists on the planet. You realize Verde Toe uses them, right?

You can set (and I have my PS5 set) to go into rest mode within x min. I think mine is set for 15 or 30 min it just goes into rest mode which makes the TV lose signal, if you have the TV set up right then it will turn off automatically after another 15 of 30 min (Plus lost signal screen is not a static screen). With those simple settings you will never have a burn in issue with consoles.
In rest mode the PS4 or 5 will load right back to the state you were in even if you were in the middle of a game paused. So there is really no excuse to allow this to cause TV burn in other than incompetence.

I got this TV from the beach camera deal, and it's amaazzing. It's definitely a splurge but it's so much sharper and clearer than my 7 year old 1080 Panasonic TV. The blacks are amazing and I can watch TV during the daytime without horrible glare any longer. If you have the money I believe it's worth it. I got this latest year model b/c I just bought a PS5 and like the "Game Optimizer" option, and the newer processor. The $300 extra to me over last year's model was worth it.

GX is just the gallery model, the thin option that is meant to be mounted on the wall.

I believe you mean CX/GX are 2020 models.

Also, the C1 has slight improvements over CX while the G1 has actual improvements over the GX (e.g. new panel with higher peak brightness).

I have the C7 65" and had ghosting when scenes are paused for some time (like the netflix dashboard) but no burn in. I want a deal on the G1 since I always wall mount.

If you are buying from Buydig, I'd put in a reasonable offer from the toe instead since they are likely to be the one fulfilling it. The only added value in buying directly from BuyDig is the CPS warranty, and if you check out the reviews that's not worth very much and good luck if you ever need service. I got a 77" a80j from the toe last week for $3030 with tax, if you are buying online you may as well save as much as possible.
