This is Peet's official Amazon store, so they have their reputation to uphold unlike a third party. I have no qualms buying this.

NB: Peet's do have a shorter BB date because they want it to taste as fresh as possible. They also place the roasting date on their packaging, so you can judge for yourself just how fresh it is.

Only the amazon warehouse version is set to expire in a month, correct? I just bought the $11 version. Over 3x cheaper than buying at the local grocery store. This should be front page.

How is this espresso roast compared to the Major Dickason's dark roast. Major Dickason's seems to be one their best blends.

This tastes like a mix between their Nespresso Pods (like if you mixed 10 and 11 together). It's pretty good for espresso but I would NOT use it for drip coffee. If you want drip go for House Blend or Major Dickason.

I definitely applaud any mass coffee roaster that puts a roast date on their coffee, since the logistics of getting all that coffee sold to customers in a matter of weeks are nearly impossible.

I did try Peet's from Amazon awhile back, and while it was within the "best by" date, I think the date was still optimistic because it hardly seemed fresh.

Disclaimer: my wife says I'm a coffee snob, so probably take what I say with a grain of salt
