quip electric toothbrush 2 for 25 with Amex offer ymmv - $12.50

American Express currently have an offer for $25 off $50 for getquip.com. There are some toothbrushes you can get for $25 each, so 2x will bring you to $50 then get $25 back from Amex. Note you must add the Amex offer first.

I saw the adult electric toothbrush with plastic handle, as well as the kids electric toothbrush with rubber handle are $25 each. Comes with sls-free toothpaste too. You can also get creative and get other things there instead of toothbrush, as long as your total is $50 or over the Amex offer will apply.

Obviously ymmv if you have this Amex offer or not.

Quip is decent for transitioning a toddler from manual to real electric toothbrushes. Only a little bit of vibration and noise.

But this is the adult version.

Kids version also for same price. They have rubber handles and comes with large toothpaste as well. Basically same as adult's but the brush head is smaller.

I have been using the metal one for six months now and love it. I have tried Oral B electric toothbrushes before but they were too noisy and bulky for me. I love the timer with the pulses to change quadrants on this one, and that it doesn't wake my partner up in the next room.
The stand has been great for using in hotel rooms and that it doubles as a cover has been helpful for traveling.
Have not experienced any snapping out. Appreciate brush heads being automatic to my door.

I switched from a $100 oral b electric to quip and love the quip. Definitely not as strong, but I kind of like the lighter feel. Mostly importantly, my teeth are just as clean and haven't had any cavities/issues with the dentist in the year plus I've been using it.

This is a solid deal if you know what you are buying. I don't mind quip as a toothbrush- if you want crazy power- Sonicare or imitation on Amazon. But I like quip for travel- and the fact that it does have a light vibration- as the other ones bother me at times. I also feel that their brush head and battery refill prices are fair.

These are so damn bad. I bought these for whole family for 30$(?) Each. Basically a weak vibrating toothbrush. Replaced all with Sonicare (not the essential model, avoid those) and everyone happy.

To each their own I guess. But I think this toothbrush is crap. My dentist wife will not push these.

Kudos to your wife for not pushing bad products

I used one of these and they are great. I don't understand the criticism Quip is getting for the vibrations. As far as I'm concerned, that is only used as a timer to make sure I brush for 2 minutes and it serves that purpose well. Since this is basically a manual brush with a timer, I do find them expensive... but they look nice.

I don't think these have sonic or oscillating motion so they're essentially vibrators with a toothbrush head on them... that's not going to be great, for your teeth and gums at least.

I recently bought one for travel, as bringing my giant Sonicare along was a pretty big pain. Solely for that purpose, it's probably the best travel brush around. It's small, light, looks cool, cleans fine for the week I'm gone, and the cover is good too. But for any other purpose, probably a pass.

Would never get one again, so pricey for a regular toothbrush. It literally does nothing special.

I'm not a dentist, but I'd imagine anything above their mid-range line is pretty much the same as far as teeth cleaning is concerned. The higher priced models only provides unnecessary crap like the Bluetooth clock/timer. I took a quick look just now and they sell an even more expensive model with wireless charging case. 🙄

I have the Oral-B Pro 7000 purchased in 2017 and it's been working great for me. I probably change the brush head less frequently than suggested because I'm a cheapass.

My dentist has jokingly complained that she's only had to do regular or deep cleaning instead of more expensive services like fillings, root canals, etc.

I've tried the Pro, Genius and iO. I think if you're looking for something affordable then the Genius is fine. I personally wouldn't go for the cheapest option because there is a difference in quality.

Quip is one of the most shilled products on the market. It's crap. It has tons of clearly shill "reviews". It is a marketing company with a crap toothbrush that does literally nothing well (perhaps other than look nice and adhere to your mirror). Your manual toothbrush makes so much more sense than this thing, and I'm saying this as someone that got this thing free. (Wife is a dentist.). Caveat emptor I guess.
