Has anyone used both v1 and v2 and notice any performance difference? Does the v2 have the phantom touch issue?

I am assuming the discount is for college people only? My 7th grader can't do it?

Had the v1 arm version and it works great for my kid. I think v2 uses a FHD screen v.s. 2K screen on v1. On 12.1 inch they are both good enough.
