Got the 199 kit (and the 99 2 batt&tool kit) the other weekend. Didn't think I'd ha e a use for the sawzall, but dang, been lopping all sorts of brush and branches with a single battery like they were twigs. Have a few old yew bushes that will finally meet their maker this weekend.

Impressed by the power these tools have.

No, ryobi tools are very good quality. They just get promoted tons here.

this set has the smaller batteries. large batteries are good for high drain devices as they will last longer between charges (Note they are not stronger, just last longer), but smaller batteries have the advantage of being light weight which is very helpful if you are using a tool continuously or working overhead.

ryobi offers the best bang for the buck for homeowner grade power tools, plus they have the largest selection of tools.

How can these be so cheap? Are they low quality? Genuinely asking.

If you can afford 60 more, it is a much better kit. The lack of impact is a deal breaker if you drive more than a few screws nowadays.

They are not- great tools for the money, without spending big dollars. I own a lot of their stuff and it's just fine.

Real men don't need impact drivers.

Real men use fingers and/or teeth to turn screws.
