Don't buy.

I just emailed Instant Pot customer service about the Ace Plus asking if the leak issue (see reviews; it's bad and causes the unit to short) has been fixed in the model that is on sale at Macy's right now. This was their response:

"Thank you for contacting us at Instant Brands.

At this time the Ace Plus has been discontinued and replacement warranty parts are no longer available for it. Due to this I would advise looking at another model.

"
I followed up and asked what model they recommend and if they have the same leak issue. Will update if they respond.
It's $49.99 at Sams club
I'm seeing the nova for that link, which is completely not the ace plus.

Ace plus is 1300 watt blender motor and 800 watt heating element. Nova has 100 watt blending and 700 watt heating element.

How does it compare to a Vitamix as far as both blending and noise?

It's weird; if I check on Amazon business, it comes up as $69.93 for one new Instant Nova Plus 1300 watt, but I looked on an incognito window, not logged into amazon, and it does not give a price, except for used or renewed units starting at $68.68. I do not have prime.

I've had the Ace Nova for almost two years now, by far the best blender I've ever had. Blows every Ninja out of the water. Also has a very different heating function than Vitamix, which only heats by the speed of which the blades spin. Incredible value for the money.

Depends on what you like to eat, drink. This thing makes great creamy soups like potato or tomato soup. Makes soy milk, etc. I use mine about as often as any kitchen gadget maybe a couple times a month.

This 100x... my wifes main use for this is to make tomato soup on demand lol. Tried to replace it when we moved and she wouldn't have any parts of it.
