this seems to be along the lines of that 5.99 set they had less less pieces. Very low quality but maybe a worthy backup.

it's a good "around the house" set. It also has a lifetime warranty.

All 6pt sockets, they can be a little sloppy and still work fine.... it is a $15 set made from 1980's style tool dies that used to be sold as the made in China Buffalo brand.

In China, these were considered industrial tools.... Smilie

A cheap go set, if this what you can afford, don't use a cheater bar and these will be fine.... millions, if not billions of items have been built or repaired with a lot less.

Craftsman set for $10 from Lowes will be much better, available in both metic and SAE, 1/4 or 3/8" drive. Don't get fooled by the number of pieces in this set, many of the pieces you'll never use since they're too small.

The socket selection is really strange as well, about 65% are 1/4" drive and tiny, only 6 are in 3/8", and none of the 1/2" are metric which is what you need to work on most modern cars.

As another poster said, this is just the $5.99 set that used to actually be $5 and able to stack with the 20% coupon. The only difference is a spark plug socket, some extensions, and a 1/4" and 1/2" ratchet. The sockets and ratchet in the $6 box are extremely poor quality, they're ok in a pinch but not something I would use if I ever had to do the same job twice.

For the price its nothing slick.

Spend a little more and thank yourself when you really need it that you have something that works.

I agree with the replies here. Not worth it. I got it today and it's not really good. I should've just gotten the husky stubby set.

And yet, this cheap set has the 4.5 and 5.5mm sockets that are almost always missing in other sets.... Unless buying complete sets that I absolutely advocate, like the almost complete DeWalt 192 pc set in 6pt only, these partial sets will always come up short for everyone at some point.

So, you were in the store, inspected, played with and still bought... to then later find out you did not like?

That sounds like a bad blind date on a dark night with too much alcohol involved.

These are ok. The wrenches are trash so i replaced them with other ones. The case isn't very well made so the sockets bounce around if you jostle them hard enough.

It was sealed. So I wasn't able to open it.

Edit: and good catch per post below, coupon is expired from 2020.

Meh, I would td my own post if I could, lol.

I am passing (prefer quick release ratchets), but this coupon makes it $9.99? https://go.harborfreight.com/coup...-49757899/
