Bircen Via Amazon[amazon.com] Has Polarized Sport Sunglasses UV Protection for Men Women (Various Colors) on Sale for $10.17 + Free Shipping w/ Amazon Prime or Orders $25+.
I've bought other Bircen models when on sale like this from Amazon, and they've all been very good quality. The lenses are excellent and polarization works perfectly. The frames were spring hinged normally found on more expensive models, and overall the quality is impressive for the price.
But I don't know anything about this particular model. They do look more on the cheap side, and not at all like the previous models I bought from them. Some Amazon reviews seem to support that. Buy hey, for $10?
I've only heard of this brand on SD and always being shilled by SD Staff.
Anyone with experience?
No name brand sunglasses are a dime a dozen. I'd rather pay for a known quality than buy multiple cheapies that might not actually be offering real protection.
polarized is fairly easily tested for at home, but the UV protection is a little hard to verify as far as I know

I've picked up the Bircen sunglasses a couple times now, I have 2 teenaged sons that work on the beach and they lose them a few times over the summer so I'm not buying them Ray Bans or anything they'd have to worry too much about losing or breaking. Quality is always better than I'd expect for about $10, they include a case usually, a cleaning cloth and a little thing to test the polarization. For 10 bucks I'll throw these in a drawer for next time one of my kids loses theirs.
These are my go to cheepo sunglasses. I had one set that fell off while fighting a 50 lb turtle on my fishing line on the reef in pounding surf. The glasses fell off during the fight but the turtle got to live to see another day. Running my third pair now. Not the best I know but for the price these are hard to beat.

I bought the non-sport square lens 2 pack about a month ago. One was amber lens and the other was black. I have found the amber one to be good for driving, good illumination and polarized too. Going to give these a shot for $10. When you have kids you can never have too many pairs of cheap sunglasses.
