I have the model HLL2320D and have been happy with it so far. This was a lifesaver for all the COVID remote school printouts for kids. The original toner became too light after 8-9 months of use, and I bought a 2-pack refill from Amazon for $18.

Brother has been making these HL series mono laser printers for several years now (I have one) and they're very reliable. Also, replacement toner cartridges are inexpensive and readily available.

Generally speaking, laser printers cost less per page than inkjet printers. And, ink cartridges dry out over time whereas toner doesn't.

I just picked up a free HL-L2320D that someone was giving away for free. Thanks for the toner recommendation. I assume the HL-2325DW is just an updated version. This is a solid little printer. No more 10 cents per page at FedEx!

I'm still using the starter cartridge. I bought a couple of genuine Brother toner cartridges off of eBay for about $50 each.

Staples regularly offers $20 off $100 coupons, and while it excludes most inks, it does not exclude brother ink. Would recommend getting ink there, pretty rare to get a discount on OEM ink cartridges for any brand

I've had to reinstall that printer numerous times via opening ports and/or using the provided software.

When it works it works great, but this has become so much of an annoyance that my next printer will likely NOT be a Brother brand.
