Walmart has Cap Barbell standard size plates in stock from 2.5 to 10lbs. $2.92 for 2.5, $5.26 for 5lbs and $10.74 for 10 lbs. Just over a dollar a pound for the larger sizes. Shipping is free for orders over $25. These come in and out of stock but they make a great solution for a home gym.

Didn't bother ordering online and went to my store pick it up. Brickseek and Walmart inventory said only 3 were available, but there were actually 7, and the in-store price was slightly cheaper - $9.73 for a 10#.
They advertise 1" but they fit very snugly on the 1.15" handles I got from a generic Amazon seller years back. Happy with the purchase overall.
so many thumb Downs on the comment that says that this is a normal price. yes this is a normal price. go to academy sports and buy this cheaper there you go this is a horrible deal.
and people quit replying to me saying that oh this ooh that stop stop nothing changed in Alabama during the pandemic.
I remember this site being called slick deals not oh my God it's back to normal finnally.

Academy is available in 3 states? Completely useful and helpful comment. All retail stores in CO (and I'm sure many other states) are still selling at $2+/lb so this is a great deal in may areas since they will ship. Rep'd OP.
Yeah it's the normal price, but everything is more expensive now. Iron ore price have shot up through the roof.
One word of advice: don't ship them.
I ordered 4x 10lbs plates from Walmart a few months ago. A few days later I saw the delivery guy holding the package with 2 fingers and gently putting it down at my door. I was like "Wow he must be really strong!". Unfortunately, the reality is the box is empty. The box had a big tear on the bottom; all 4 weight plates have fallen out, presumably somewhere between Illinois and Washington. Had to go through the hassle of getting a refund.
Aren't these normal (pre the world has lost its mind) prices
Yes — these prices are even slightly above the "old" normal. I have a "collection" of hundreds of pounds of weights and barbells that I assembled pre- Covid using a rule of thumb of 50 cents per pound. Admittedly that price target was hard to come by but I did find it 3 or 4 times per year on a variety of sizes right up to Black Friday 2019.
I don't understand this? People who travel for work would use a Gym. I honestly don't get what you are trying to say, I know you are trying to say something sassy I just don't get it. I'm sorry.
