What is it with counting comments? Something like this doesn't need a comment to go with a TU. It's just a USB hub. Pass on it or buy it. Not a big deal. SD has had promoted deals for a long time.

He specifically added links for both versions. Promo code works on the USB-C version as well.

Just a heads up but the reason why this is going to be the normal price soon is that usb 3.1 is becoming the new standard. 3.1 is 10 gbps vs 3.0 which is 5gbps. I noticed this industry change when browsing for hubs at microcenter.

USB 3.1 released in July 2013 [wikipedia.org] Has multiple generation that are confusing to keep track of.

USB 3.2 released in September 2017 [wikipedia.org] Also has multiple generation that are confusing to keep track of.

USB4 released 29 August 2019 [wikipedia.org] Is the most recent and is supposedly going to avoid the aforementioned generations. We'll see how that goes.

Edit: can't get formatting right with this post. Oh well.

I'd personally wait for one that supports PD, that way you can still use usbc chargers, critical if you only have one usbc port.

I don't understand how the woman in the picture has it connected to her iPhone when it's a USB-C cableā€¦.

most people don't comment, especially on a deal like this. it's a USB hub, it give you more USB ports. what is there to comment? did you want more "no HDMI=deal breaker" troll posts?

I know it's not the same product but I bought a couple of UGreen branded magnetic USB cables and liked them so much I went back and effectively replaced anything with a charger on it with one of them. So far after over a year everything is still working great.

With stuff like this, I suspect that it may very well just be a logo that contracts out to factories to produce these.
