Why not get the Apple Watch?
This a mechanical watch while the Apple Watch really isn't a watch. It's a mini computer on your wrist. There's just no comparison.

Good price on a decent brand. Hamilton is owned by the Swatch group but they make some really nice looking field watches with ETA movements.
This however has an in-house H10 movement which is actually based on the ETA powermatic series though.

I have a hard time noticing the difference between 40 and 42 while wearing it and they're not side by side. On some of my watches I feel might be big I've played around with different bands that make me think it's smaller.

But I agree this would be a steal at 38mm.
The Khaki is a unique watch in both stying and dimensions. I have 7"-7.25" wrist, and often wear 42mm divers. I tried the 42mm khaki field automatic for a while. Loved the style, but it was just too large for my wrist. The larger face/lack of outer bezel and long lugs make the Khaki wear so much larger than the measurements would suggest. It is the same reason the 38mm Khaki wears so well. I ended up selling off the 42mm and getting a 38mm khaki. It is just about perfect. I have found 39mm-40mm to be my sweet spot for most other watches.

Have a similar one in black and love it. Anybody have recommendation for a nice band to use with it? I haven't settled on a style yet
Check out the Cordura straps on Teddy Baldassarre's shopping portal. There's many other straps there which might inspire you.

Damn it, this is a price so hard to pass for a khaki. Darn Slickdeals...

Edit: Never mind, will pass for a 42mm, super nice deal though if you can wear that.

Yea yea yea, It is still a tweaked ETA movement which makes sense because ETA is also owned by the Swatch company but point taken.

Nice price. Would be all over it if it was 38-40mm. Seems every watch deal these days is 42mm or more. Nothing for us thin wristers

I've got a 6in wrist. What size watch would be recommended?
I'm at the same range (6.25") and for me, a 40mm diameter and 46mm lug to lug is about the max before things look funky. Like someone else mentioned, my Khaki Auto in 38mm looks good but at the same time appears larger since the lug to lug is 46mm. I have it on the leather strap and it works because the leather drops straight down to my wrist. I think the metal band would make it look too big since it'd protrude out (laterally?) a little before dropping towards wrist. Of course, if you try it on and it looks good, get what makes you happy!

I don't know... Lose the canvas strap and pair this up with a nice brown leather band (darker or lighter than the dial)... might look mighty nice.

Same. I would rather have black than brown.

Love Hamilton watches, but why are there so many numbers? I miss watches like the Hamilton H76665725, wish I could find that under $300 again.
