Anyone have any input on this? Seems like it's either a pretty good deal or garbage, but I don't know enough about hepa filters to tell the difference

i just check consumer reports to see if they reviewed it none with that brand name were reviewed.

I'm interested at this pricepoint but the fact they use a handheld vacuum to clean the filter seems a lil sus.

I bought one of these (RHAP-20002) and so far it works well, and runs very quietly on Low and Medium (High is fairly loud). It has a high CADR rating and includes a UV bulb (inside, not user replaceable). The PM 2.5 sensor is nice, as is the handle for easy carrying.

The brand is pretty unknown (for HEPA filters anyway, I think they make computer cases or something) and I can't find independent reviews, but it is approved by the California ARB (which tests safety, not effectiveness): https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/list-carb-...ng-devices

Honestly I'd feel better seeing some sort of testing or certification -- I would hope they're not faking the HEPA filter but it is quite an amazing value if it really works.

ROSEWILL is the in house NewEgg brand. So more than likely this model is OEM from some other design.
