I think you misunderstand the purpose of this tire inflator. When you are in the middle of nowhere, you can pump air if you got a flat tire. It saved me a couple time when I have flat tire, I can fill the tire with enough air to get my tire fixed without changing to a spare tire.

He just fills up plastic bags with the free walmart air before he goes on long trips.

Exactly. More for emergencies and convenience. I keep a compressor in every car because you'll be so happy you did if you ever need it. Same story for a spare quart of oil and jumper cables

I lose track how many tire inflators are sitting in my garage unopened. In 4 another 1.
I bought the 721 a little while ago....and I am tempted to buy this. Should I?

What kind of tire are you talking about? As someone else in this thread said pumping auto tire is super slow compared to his other inflator. Even the cheapest pumps will pump a bike tire up quickly.
I can't compare to other auto tire pumps. I have only tried this one. I used it on my sedan's tires. Compared to the gas station pumps that you have to pay for, it took about the same amount of time because the gas station pump will turn on/off in order to measure the pressure. This one kept going until the pressure hit the right value then stopped. I was expecting it to take a minute or more but it was surprisingly fast. I even used it on my spare tire and that took it a good minute or more, but it was quite low at like 30psi and had to go to 60psi. At the time I didn't know about the 50psi limit, so I'm surprised I didn't break it. Or maybe the 50psi limit doesn't apply to spare tires? I can't really figure out what it means when it says the limit is 150psi for air cushions.

If you are trying to pump up an SUV tire or something with a lot of volume, then yeah, it's going to take a lot longer. It can only push so much volume at a time.

I hear you. I carry a quart of oil, tire inflator, a jump start battery pack, a pint of transmission fluid, and a pint of power steering fluid in my Tesla S. I haven't used any of it but it is nice to have as a reminder.
Just keep the Tesla in tow as a spare if you break down. Then you can even leave home the jump start battery pack. LMAO

Insert variety of puns including "Lots of junk in that trunk?", smaller unit to girlfriend -> TWSS and small car = small cockpit. Ha ha

I don't know where you are getting 50 psi info from. I had no problem pumping my road bike tires to 100 psi. Only issue with using this pump for bike tires is that it needs cigarette socket.

If you are looking for electric pump for bikes. I wouldn't recommend this exact pump. vaclife pump makes sames exact pump that supports both ac and dc power input.
Ahh i misread the 50psi in the description. Nah I'll try this for the price. AC doesn't matter to me.

Shcrader valve! I'm in. Too bad it's up to 50 psi, so good for trek bikes and not for road bikes.

No big deal

I carry a harbor freight pump for $25 and a tire plug kit. Should be able to do a more permanent repair for common punchers. Even though I have a donut spare, 55mph max and no highway use (technically) and wrong overall diameter, I much prefer to repair my Michelin pilot sports in an odd size that remote shops won't stock. I keep the spare Incase of blow outs

Halfway down the page:
"Scope of Application

This powerful tire inflator is suitable for cars with tire width less than 245mm and tire pressure less than 50psi. It will intelligently stop when it reaches the preset pressure. No worry about over-inflating."

With this model, it is possible that it would not let you set it to anything over 50 psi. Was considering for inflating bike tires but not if it won't reach the 70-90 psi I need.
